In early 2026, Blue Underground is releasing the 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray for Circle of Iron, a 1978 mystical martial arts film from director Richard Moore.
The disc will be presented with a brand-new 4K restoration from the original camera negative, with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio.
At the height of his international fame, the legendary Bruce Lee – along with his friend and student James Coburn (Magnificent Seven) and Oscar® -winning screenwriter Stirling Silliphant (In the Heat of the Night) – began to write what he believed would be the greatest achievement of his film career. Five years after his mysterious death, Lee’s vision would finally be realized.
In the film, a young martial artist (Jeff Cooper) embarks on an adventure, encountering other martial artists in battle until one day he meets an aging blind man (David Carradine) who will show him the true meaning of martial arts and life.
Circle of Iron also stars Christopher Lee (The Lord of the Rings), Roddy McDowall (Planet of the Apes) and Eli Wallach (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly).
Further details for this release are still pending, so stay tuned!

Looking forward to seeing ‘The Silent Flute’ in 4K as the best previous release on blu-ray was good though flawed quality wise. The film itself is very entertaining and mystical with an excellent music score, whilst stopping short of being an all time classic, it is not too far off. The mind boggles what it would have been like had Bruce Lee made it with James Coburn. The fight scenes in ‘The Silent Flute’ are good though not great, and apparently Joe Lewis was brought in after filming to try enhance the fight scenes and you can see the results of that with shot in studio footage interspersed in some fights. Will be interesting to see what new extras will be on this release.
