Martial arts star Scott Adkins (John Wick: Chapter 4, One More Shot, Ip Man 4: The Finale) is joining Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in RIP, an upcoming Netflix actioner from Joe Carnahan (Boss Level, Smokin’ Aces). Adkins will be playing the brother of Affleck’s character, which we believe is perfect casting, given how much the Boyka: Undisputed star resembles Affleck!
RIP follows a team of Miami cops whose trust begins to fray when they discover millions in cash in a derelict stash house. As outside forces learn about the size of the seizure, everything for the team is called into question — including who they can rely on (via Deadline).
RIP is an The Artists Equity production, a artist-led studio founded by Affleck and Damon. Some of the titles credited to the company include 2023’s Air, 2024’s The Instigators and the upcoming The Accountant 2, which is due next year.
We’ll keep you updated on this project as we learn more. Until then, here’s the Trailer for 2012’s Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, which is considered to be one of Adkins’ best films:
are you sure it’s not Good Will Hunting 2?
I hope Adkins has a sizable role. Affleck has to be familiar with his filmography, and I’m sure Adkins is impressed by Affleck’s action chops like in The Accountant.
