“Paradise Lost” Poster
This guy pumps out films like there’s no tomorrow. Visionary writer/director Yeon Sang Ho (Colony), the filmmaker behind the 2016 hit Train to Busan and its follow up Peninsula, returns with Paradise Lost, an upcoming thriller hitting theaters in November from Well Go USA.
When her son mysteriously vanishes, a grieving woman turns to virtual reality to reconnect with him. Years later, he unexpectedly returns, but has changed in ways she never could have imagined.
The film stars Kim Hyun-joo (Jung_E) and Bae Hyun-sung (The Divine Fury).
🔥 Footnote: Yeon Sang Ho is one of the busiest filmmakers in Korean cinema, pumping out films and series at an insane pace. Best known for Train to Busan, Seoul Station, Peninsula and Hellbound, he has bounced around from animation and zombies to sci fi, horror and just about everything in between. With that kind of output, Yeon is starting to feel like Korea’s answer to Takashi Miike, another filmmaker who seems to have a new project out every few months.
