In November, Toy Robot Video (a new sub-label of Arrow Video) will be releasing a Blu-ray for Zipang, a 1990 Japanese tokusatsu film directed by Kaizo Hayashi (The Maiku Hama Trilogy).
A samurai outlaw on the run with his motley clan falls for the bounty hunter who’s trailing him to the untold riches of a mythical city of gold.
Zipang stars Masahiro Takashima (Revenge of the Pomegranate Hill), Narumi Yasuda (Time Traveller: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time), Shiro Sano (Good News), Kenya Sawada (Hidden Man), Mikio Narita (Roaring Fire), and Mikijirō Hira (Goemon).

🔥 Footnote: Quentin Tarantino, eat your heart out! Director Kaizo Hayashi blends real Japanese history with wildly fantastical characters and situations. The film features historical figures such as Tokugawa Ieyasu, the famous shogun, alongside Hattori Hanzo, the legendary samurai, and Hayashi Razan, the renowned philosopher.
