Shannon Lee, daughter of Bruce Lee and head of the Lee estate, is open to the idea of bringing her father back to life for a feature presentation, via computer generated technology. Forbes recently interviewed Lee regarding the new 90-second Johnnie Walker Whiskey spot, which features a realistic cgi animation of Bruce.
“Do I think the technology could carry itself front and center for a 90-minute movie?” asks Lee. “That remains to be seen. But given enough time and enough artistic people, I’m sure it can be done.”
The idea of a cgi “Bruce Lee movie” dates back to over 10 years ago. In the early 2000’s, Shincine Films, a Korean-based company, once announced a $50 million dollar project that would resurrect Bruce titled Dragon Warrior (no relation to the Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior app). Obviously, the project went into development hell and hasn’t been heard of ever since.
With today’s sophisticated technology, the thought of bringing any famous person back to life is very likely. In fact, with the Johnnie Walker commercial, it’s already happening. Now, a full movie? Like Shannon says, only time will tell.

With all do respect to the Bruce Lee estate. Xbox years back developed a bruce lee game that did well. The museum that was developed in hong kong. The new cgi commercial, A warriors dream are reflections of a man who stuggled to be recognized as a human being with talent like any other actor that existed in his time of trials and tribulations. So its not really him, but getting the right people in cgi technology, a good story line and director.I believe under shannons lees ok and direction, a well made cgi movie would do well.Final fantasy did well as a cgi movie, resident evil,the matrix, and star wars.Not only do feel a cgi movie would do well under directors such as raymond chow, john woo, or donny yen.A cgi movie with a good story line would bring continuous recognition to the memory of a man, just a man named Bruce Lee.
