Meta madness? Jason Statham joins forces with the co-creator of ‘John Wick’ for ‘Jason Statham Stole My Bike’

David Leitch, the action filmmaker known for John WickAtomic BlondeDeadpool 2 and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, is reuniting with Jason Statham (The Meg) for a new action-comedy titled Jason Statham Stole My Bike.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film will see Statham “in the role of a lifetime, playing global action superstar Jason Statham“. The budget is being set north of $80M, an increasingly rare proposition in the indie marketplace, and the project includes a number of major action set pieces. It’s being conceived as a PG-13 with tongue in cheek, per the movie’s meta title (via Deadline).

Jason Statham Stole My Bike is written by Alison Flierl, who is perhaps best known for her work with Conan O’Brien’s Conan and the School of Rock series. The film is produced by Black Bear (Shelter) and 87 North (Nobody).

Production begins filming in May 2026.

We’ll keep you updated as we learn more. Until then, here’s the Trailer for the previous Statham/Leitch collaboration, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw:

So, basically, Wonder Man by way of Massive Talent with Statham.

  2. Andrew Hernandez says:

Color me excited. While I hope this is hilarious, I hope they put as much focus on the action as the comedy. And they’ve got to include The who’s who of stunt people that the fans love so much.
