On October 26, 2026, 88 Films is releasing the Blu-ray (Region A/B) for The Owl vs Bumbo – also known as The Owl and Dumbo and The Owl vs Bombo) – a 1984 action comedy starring Sammo Hung (Dragons Forever) and George Lam (Europe Raiders).
Chan (Sammo Hung) and Wong (George Lam), aka “Bumbo and the Owl”, believe their criminal days are behind them. However, their pasts come back to haunt them when ex-cop Chung returns to blackmail them. Expect action, thrills and laughs in this non-stop rollercoaster tale of blackmail and hijinks.
This action comedy features an all-star cast that includes Deanie Ip (Dragons Forever), Michelle Yeoh (Royal Warriors), James Tien (The Big Boss), Philip Chan (Twinkle, Twinkle, Lucky Stars), Stanley Fung (My Lucky Stars), Wu Ma (A Chinese Ghost Story) and Dick Wei (Project A).
