Director Ernesto Díaz Espinoza (Bring Me the Head of the Machine Gun Woman) and Chilean martial arts sensation Marko Zaror (Invincible) – the creative duo who previously worked together on 2006’s Kiltro, 2007’s Mirageman, 2009’s Mandrill, 2014’s Redeemer, and the recent, The Fist of the Condor – are reuniting for Diablo. Zaror’s Undisputed 3: Redemption, Savage Dog, John Wick: Chapter 4 co-star, Scott Adkins (Ip Man 4, Max Cloud), headlines the devilish fun.
Kris Chaney (Adkins) released from prison, on a mission to fulfill a promise but finds himself in danger when he kidnaps Elisa. El Corvo (Zaror), a psychopathic killer joins the hunt not for the money but for his own vengeance against Vicente’s family.
The film also stars Diana Hoyos (Sniper: Ultimate Kill), Alanna De La Rossa (Llanto Maldito), Maria del Rosario (El Paraiso), Lucho Velasco (Jungle) and Jason Gurvitz (Avenged).
Film Mode Entertainment and Wonder Street are co-producing Diablo off a script from Mat Sansom. Craig Baumgarten (Universal Soldier: Regeneration, Accident Man, Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday), Clay Epstein (Crypto), Adkins and Zaror are serve as producers (via Deadline).
Grindstone Entertainment Group has acquired for North America rights for the film, which is slated for a release later this year. Until then, here’s a still from Diablo, followed by a look at Zaror and Adkins’ work in Savage Dog:
Oh, yeah. Yeah yeah yeah. I want this. We got to watch Zaror play in the Adkins/Florentine sandbox, now it’s Zaror’s and Díaz’s turns.
I’m sure Diaz will know exactly what to do with Scott, and since Marko is vouching for him, they’re gonna come up with all kinds of cool ideas.
Sorry, Andrew, just now seeing this. I’m with you. I imagine that they’re gonna want to show off a bit with this one, and I can’t wait.
You know what I find odd, the fact that no one has talked about Life After After Fighting starring Bren Foster, which in my opinion screams martial Arts action. Also it co.es out June 7th and no one is talking about it
You were right! https://cityonfire.com/life-after-fighting-bren-foster-martial-arts-action-movies-film-new/
This movie was deadset Elite and deserves to be talked about. Insane action sequences
The Fight Scenes were excellent, although they did seem to go on a little long imo.
That movie is epic!
