“Savage Dog” Theatrical Poster
Director Ernesto Díaz Espinoza (Bring Me the Head of the Machine Gun Woman) and Chilean martial arts sensation Marko Zaror (Invincible) – the creative duo who previously worked together on 2006’s Kiltro, 2007’s Mirageman, 2009’s Mandrill, 2014’s Redeemer, and the recent, The Fist of the Condor – are reuniting for Diablo. And the awesome news doesn’t stop there: Zaror’s Undisputed 3: Redemption, Savage Dog, John Wick: Chapter 4 co-star, Scott Adkins (Ip Man 4, Max Cloud), is also joining the fun.
Plot follows Kris Chaney (Adkins) who, after being released from prison, embarks on a perilous mission to fulfill an old promise but finds himself in danger when he kidnaps Elisa, the daughter of a powerful gangster. Her father, Vincent, puts out a call to the entire criminal underworld to bring her back alive. El Corvo (Zaror), a psychopathic killer, joins the hunt not for the money but for his own vendetta against Vincent’s family. Kris must evade both Elisa’s powerful father and a ruthless killer bent on revenge to live long enough to tell Elisa the full story that has been hidden from her (via Deadline).
Film Mode Entertainment and Wonder Street are co-producing Diablo off a script from Mat Sansom. Craig Baumgarten (Universal Soldier: Regeneration, Accident Man, Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday), Clay Epstein (Crypto), Adkins and Zaror are serve as producers.
