Cult director Uwe Boll has his share of duds, but he’s far from being “the worst director of all time.” If you’ve seen any of the Rampage films or even Assault on Wall Street, you’ll know he’s more than capable of delivering the goods as an action filmmaker.
Now, family owned company Yippee Ki Yay Mother Video is giving fans a chance to visit the cult director’s newest work with a collection of limited edition Blu ray releases, including signed editions.
Citizen Vigilante – the viral film that shook the world!
The list includes the Blu-ray for Citizen Vigilante, which has become an unlikely viral sensation. The politically charged thriller follows a vigilante (Armie Hammer) who targets undocumented immigrants responsible for deadly crimes – while being trailed by a cop (Costas Mandylor). This premise reportedly led to the film being banned in Germany. The ban drew the attention of Elon Musk, who shared the film online for free, helping it rack up more than 10.5 million views. After its streaming debut, Citizen Vigilante climbed to the No. 1 spot for digital purchases on major platforms. The Blu-ray edition includes exclusives you won’t see anywhere else!
In addition to the Blu ray, Yippee Ki Yay Mother Video is offering a Citizen Vigilante action figure, individually hand painted to make each one unique. Only 20 figures will be produced.
Run – the thriller with an extremely politically divisive message!
Also included is Run, a politically charged thriller that takes aim at Europe’s immigration policies. Set on an Italian holiday island, the film follows a volatile situation involving the arrival of refugees and a hostage crisis. Boll uses the story to explore his outspoken views on immigration, social tensions and what he sees as the failures of European political leadership. Unsurprisingly, the film has attracted controversy, with its critics questioning its portrayal of migrants and its politically divisive message.
The film features an all-star cast that includes Amanda Plummer (Pulp Fiction), James Russo (Django Unchained), Ulrich Thomsen (The World Is Not Enough), Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips), Costas Mandylor (Saw franchise), Kristen Renton (Gamer), Michel Qissi (Bloodsport, Kickboxer, Lionheart), Marcus Henderson (Get Out), Daniel Sauli (The Irishman) and Sammy Sheik (American Sniper).
As with Citizen Vigilante, this Blu-ray edition includes exclusives extras.
First Shift Trilogy – A little less controversial, but still has BOLLS!
This upcoming 3-film franchise follows veteran NYPD officer Deo Russo (Gino Anthony Pesi, Battle Los Angeles) and rookie partner Angela Dutton (Kristen Renton, Days of Our Lives) as they navigate the streets of New York City during a challenging day on patrol.
Blending crime drama with the everyday realities of police work, First Shift marked Boll’s return to feature filmmaking after several years away from the director’s chair.
The set includes 2024’s First Shift, First Shift: Vengeance and First Shift: Redemption, featuring exclusives extras.
