On January 27, 2026, Well Go USA is releasing Revolver Lily on Digital, which will be followed by a Blu-ray and DVD release on February 10, 2026.
From acclaimed filmmaker Yukisada Isao (Go) comes Revolver Lily, an upcoming stylish action-thriller that’s based on the novel of the same name by Kyo Nagaura.
The film stars Ayase Haruka (Our Little Sister, Ichi) – who was nominated for Best Actress at the 2024 Japanese Academy Awards for her work in the title role – as one of Japan’s deadliest assassins, who may be retired and working as a brothel madam, but when her former colleague dies, she uses her still formidable skills to rack up an impressive body count to protect his young son.
Revolver Lily also stars Hasegawa Hiroki (Shin Godzilla), Hamura Jinsei (Gold Boy) and Shishido Kavaka (Trillion Game).

I like the look of this. It’s almost reminiscent of Assassination and Cliff Walkers with its visuals and mood. It also seems influenced by the likes of Sergio Leone. Can’t wait.
What has happened to, or with, Well Go USA’s Blu Ray release of REVOLVER LILY?
It was supposed to hit shelves on Feb. 10th, 2026. But,that doesn’t seem to have happened.
It was a pretty good movie. I liked the visuals and how everything was shot and framed. I’m not familiar with Yukisada Isao, but I read that he got his start in theatre before going into film, so that would explain why the movie often gives off vibes of a stage show.
This is also evident in the action scenes as they’re more like live illustrations as opposed to tactical gunplay. It’s a little far fetched that an assassin with a six shooter can take on platoons of soldiers, but with the visual flair the film goes for, it’s acceptable. There even manages to be hand to hand combat thrown in for good measure, and it was welcome.
It’s disappointing that there’s moments of digital blood, digital bullet holes and even digital smoking, but it’s less intrusive here than in some English language productions.
Revolver Lily is certainly recommended.
