On December 31, 2024, 88 Films is releasing a Deluxe Blu-ray (Region B) for Black Cat 2, a 1992 Hong Kong action film directed by Stephen Shin Gei Yin (Brotherhood) that stars Jade Leung (Satin Steel) and Robin Shou (Cyprus Tigers).

Scientists install a micro chip, called Black Cat, inside the brain of a violence prone girl named Catherine in an attempt to refine and control her fits of rage. Their plan is to turn her into the perfect government secret agent “killing machine”.

Black Cat 2 also stars Mike Miller (Knock Off), Jack Wong Wai-Leung (God of Gamblers), Wan Seung-Lam (Police Story 3) and Steve Brettingham (Knock Off).

This version of the film will feature a brand new 2K restoration with further restoration and grade by 88 Films, plus new and exclusive extras featuring Jade Leung, Robin Shou and audio commentary by the one and only Frank Djeng.

    This flick needs also a reediting, the editing storywise and concerning action scenes (except maybe for the finale) is a chaotic mess to put it best.
