November 4 | The Grandmaster of Kung Fu – At the end of Qing Dynasty. Japan, which is trying to seize Tianjin, opens the Honghua Military Academy and suppresses the local Martial Arts Association. Martial arts expert Huo Yuanjia, engages in a life-threatening battle with a Japanese military commander in order to prevent their takeover. 2019’s The Grandmaster of Kung Fu is directed by Cheng Si-Yu (Land Shark) and stars Dennis To (Kung Fu League), Yang Feng (Sword Dynasty) and Mei Xue (If Only).
November 11 | The Sword – 1980’s The Sword revolves around a swordsman and a samurai who work together to find a blade. This Golden Harvest film is directed by Patrick Tam Kar-Ming (My Heart is that Eternal Rose) and stars Adam Cheng Siu-Chow (Fantasy Mission Force) and Norman Tsui Siu-Keung (City War), with action choreography by Tony Ching Siu-Tung (Duel to the Death). English dubbed version also available.
November 18 | The Defender – A bodyguard battles an unknown attacker who has ambushed a secret meeting between an American official and a terrorist. Dolph Lundgren (Castle Falls) stars and directs this 2004 actioner featuring Jerry Springer (The Jerry Springer Show) and Shakara Ledard (Raising Helen).
November 25 | Sworn Brothers – A tough, violent look inside today’s Hong Kong underworld. Sworn Brothers is the dramatic, tragic story of two men brought up closer than most brothers. Now they find they stand on different sides of the law. Directed by David Lai Dai Wai (Tragic Hero), this 1978 Hong Kong actioner stars Andy Lau (Bloody Brotherhood), Cheung Kwok Keung (The Champions), Peter Yang Kwan (Rich and Famous), Bill Tung Biu (Police Story), Chin Kar Lok (Eastern Condors) and Eddie Ko Hung (The Mission).
