Arriving soon from Toy Robot Video (a new sub-label of Arrow Video) is the 4K Ultra HD for Passenger 57, a 1992 actioner from director Kevin Hooks (Strictly Business).
Former police officer and airline security specialist John Cutter (Wesley Snipes, Demolition Man), finally returning to the job after his wife’s death, finds himself in the middle of a deadly plane hijacking by terrorists, led by notorious international criminal Charles Rane (Bruce Payne, Highlander: Endgame).
Trapped on the plane with several innocent passengers, Cutter must rely on his combat skills, intelligence, and determination to stop the terrorists. His next move is clear. Do. Or be done to.
Newly scanned in 4K by Toy Robot Video, Passenger 57 helped launch Wesley Snipes as a true 90s action star and features support appearances from Tom Sizemore (Heat) and Elizabeth Hurley (Austin Powers), via Dawn of the Disc.
🔥 Trivia: After a string of hits with Warner, Passenger 57 was one of two films offered to Steven Seagal in 1992. Since the two movies were shooting at the same time, Seagal had to pick one and went with Under Siege. Passenger 57 was also offered to Sylvester Stallone, who passed on it, which inspired the filmmakers to name Tom Sizemore’s character “Sly.”
