Even during his post-legendary Hollywood status, Mel Gibson has been consistently delivering the goods with films like Edge of Darkness, Get the Gringo, Blood Father, Dragged Across Concrete, his directorial comeback, Hacksaw Ridge, as well as the recent Boss Level. Now, Gibson is back with another catchy project titled Panama, from director Mark Neveldine (co-director of the Crank films and Gamer).
In the film, an ex-marine is hired by a defense contractor to travel to Panama to complete an arms deal. In the process he becomes involved with the U.S. invasion of Panama, and learns an important lesson about the true nature of political power. According to THR, the movie is inspired by true events in 1989 in the country in central America.
Panama also stars Cole
Hauser (2 Fast 2 Furious), Charlie Weber (Jarhead 3: The Siege) and Kate Katzman (Adverse).
Saban Films is releasing Panama later this year. Until then, don’t miss its New Trailer:
