“Hit Team” Theatrical Poster
Prolific Hong Kong director Wong Jing (City Hunter, Chasing the Dragon, God of Gamblers) is getting ready to get a Hit Team together with the help of acclaimed action choreographer Corey Yuen (No Retreat, No Surrender II: Raging Thunder, Righting Wrongs).
This upcoming actioner stars Jordan Chan Siu-Chun (Golden Job, Trivisa), Michelle Hu Ran (From Vegas to Macau 2, From Vegas to Macau 3) and Sabrina Qiu Lu-Fan (Skiptrace, Chasing the Dragon II: Wild Wild Bunch).
As far as we can gather, Hit Team has no relation to the 2001 Daniel Wu film of the same name from director Dante Lam.

Holy shit! Corey Yuen hasn’t been around since forever! Last he worked was on Expendables 2 I think? I’m stoked, even if it’ll suck. Barring a few gaffs, he may be the second best fight choreographer ever!
If hkmdb is correct, Corey Yuen did Birth of the Dragon (2016), A Chinese Odyssey: Part Three (2016) and Soccer Killer (2017). Who is your first? It seems like all choreographers have low and high points. Hard to pick a favorite.
I miss Corey Yuen. His last movie which featured good choreography was the Jason Statham movie Wild Card. Hope he still has that spark.
I think I’ll wait to see if the “help” Corey Yuen will be providing is actually related to choreographing any of the action. Remember his name was also used to promote the 2017 HBO Asia specials (read our feature on them here) – ‘Master of the Shadowless Kick: Wong Kei-Ying’ and ‘Master of the Drunken Fist: Beggar So’ – but he only served on those in capacity of executive producer.
