The Iceman Cometh | Bu-ray (88 Films)

Goodie Emporium is now shipping the Blu-ray (Region B) for The Iceman Cometh (aka Time Warriors), a 1989 Hong Kong sci-fi actioner directed by Clarence Ford (Special I.D., Naked Killer) that stars Yuen Biao (Circus Kids), Maggie Cheung (The Eagle Shooting Heroes) and Yuen Wah (Kung Fu Vs. Acrobatic).

In The Iceman Cometh, two opposing Ming Dynasty warriors fall into an ice crevice and are unthawed in the early 1990’s to a drastically changed world. The good warrior (Yuen Biao) finds a home with a quirky prostitute (Maggie Cheung). The bad warrior (Yuen Wah), a rapist-murderer, simply picks up where he left off centuries ago. At first they are unaware that the other still exists until Wah’s handiwork shows up again.

    I’ll take the UK Blu-Ray!

    This looks cool

I still have my original DVD from the 90s, I can’t believe how easy this stuff is to find now. Remember when we were stuck with the days of Miramar cutting HK movies and adding terrible rap and hip hop over badly dubbed Jet Li vehicles like Black Mask. We’ve come a long way.

      ANM! =) How are you?!

Yeah, times have changed since the 00s. We are now getting multiple releases for the same titles from different companies (both Region A and B). Supercop is currently available in 3 different choices.

I am married with a child now, in fact just became a dad a month and a half ago. So, believe it or not I’m actually watching more movies now because I get night watch as I work second shift.

As for the DVDs, I’ve been meaning to pick up a legit copy of Black Mask. I think Dragon Dynasty was the game changer. I officially collect DVDs like from the criterion to Don The Dragon Wilson. It’s so much fun, even if such is gonna slow down with the baby.
