RELEASE DATE: June 2024

In June of 2024, 88 Films (UK) is releasing the 4K Ultra HD for To Kill with Intrigue, a 1977 kung fu film directed by Lo Wei (Fist of Fury) that stars Jackie Chan (Ride On).

The film also stars Hsu Feng (The Face Behind the Mask), Yu Ling Lung (Killer Meteors), George Wang Jue (The Grandmaster),Tung Lam (Kidnap) and Chan Wai Lau (Fearless Hyena).

This title will soon be available at The Goodie Emporium, a U.S.-based online store that currently has many Import Shaw Brothers/Golden Harvest/martial arts DVD/Blu-ray movies in-stock – with New titles being added regularly!

Details and features are pending. Until then, here’s the film’s classic Trailer:

Why? Because the fans demanded it? Can it even be called a money grab? Wouldn’t more than 4 or 5 people have to buy something before it could be called a money grab? I know I’m exaggerating the lack of interest in a 4K version of this movie, but by how much?

    • JJ Bona says:

Many collectors out there are Jackie Chan/Kung Fu completists, so I’m pretty sure they’re going to want the best version of the film on the market. Let’s face it: everything is a cash grab. lol In this case, at least it’ll be upgraded to 4K UHD (and not just another Blu-ray). As for me, I haven’t seen it since I snagged the Simitar VHS back in the 90s, so hopefully it’ll be a new experience. =)

  2. Kiril Valkov says:

I’ve got the previous release with the awful artwork, so I’ll be getting this one, and the old one will be sealed for the Vault of memories. Granted, the movie is not an outstanding piece of film making, but for me it is better than 80% of Jackie’s latest projects.
