Filmmaker and star Louis Mandylor (The Debt Collector, The Doorman) – fresh off directing Scott Adkins in 2025’s Prisoner of War – is currently working on his next film, Marx.
Produced by Mandylor’s own Odyssey Motion Pictures, this upcoming actioner stars martial arts powerhouse Bren Foster (Life After Fighting, Mexicali) and Mekhi Phifer (Paid in Full, Lights Out).
Marx follows two brothers, Axel, a fearless fighter, and Ian, a strategic operator, who are pulled into a deadly power struggle when violent conflict erupts in the Vegas underworld. For what it’s worth, this is how Mandylor describes the film (via IG): “The plan – BRUTAL cinematic violence – justified indeed”.
The film also stars Ayhan Tongadur (Absolute Dominion) and TT (Exorcist Archives).
Marx is currently in post-production phase. We’ll keep you updated on this project as we learn more.
🔥 Hot Take: Bren Foster may not be a household name, but his standout turns in Maximum Conviction and Force of Execution showed he had “action star” potential. A decade later, Life After Fighting confirmed it, while Mexicali proves he’s consistent at delivering the goods. And something tells us that even at the age of 49, he still has not peaked yet.
For now, check out the Trailers for Foster’s Life After Fighting, Mexicali and Beast:

Brenn’s definitely not the first one i’d have chosen to portray Karl Marx, guess we’ll see how much range as an actor he actually has.
We thought he was playing Groucho Marx. =)
don’t you trust him to be able to wear a full beard? XD
We have a new DTV trash star Bren Foster lol.
And what mind blowing new action films are you watching?
This Louis Mandylor is not good and he likes to star in many scott adkins films.
