On October 20, 2026, Toy Robot Video (a new sub-label of Arrow Video) will be releasing a Blu-ray for Manhunt, which is presented in a brand new high-definition restoration with original lossless stereo audio.
Directed by Junya Satō (Golgo 13), this 1976 thriller stars Ken Takakura (The Yakuza), Yoshio Harada (The Hunted) and Ryōko Nakano (Never Give Up).
When Fuyuto Morioka (Takakura), a chief prosecutor for the Ministry of Justice, is arrested for a crime he didn’t commit, he escapes from custody. Trailed by a detective and two shadowy figures wielding shotguns, Morioka’s investigation into who might want to see him locked away sees him uncover a dark web of government and corporate corruption involving a dangerous mind-controlling drug developed by a sinister pharmaceutical company.
