On October 23, 2023, 88 Films is releasing a Blu-ray (Region B) for Magic Crystal, a 1986 Hong Kong action directed by Wong Jing (City Hunter) that stars Andy Lau (Rich and Famous) and Cynthia Rothrock (Righting Wrongs).

In Magic Crystal, Cynthia Rothrock and Andy Lau are interpol agents looking for a mysterious crystal that holds good and evil powers.

The film also stars Sharla Cheung Man (Fight Back to School), Max Mok Siu Chung (Outlaw Brothers), Richard Norton (Mission Terminate), Sek Kin (Enter the Dragon) and Philip Ko (Dragon Blood).

    Such a fun movie full of action. Andy Lau did a great job keeping up with everyone else. Even though he was sometimes doubled, he did the majority of his fight scenes.

    I also laughed my ass off at Chan Pak-Cheung acting like a dumbass in the bank and finally getting what he deserved.

    Dear 88 Films, would you put out GOOD movies (The blade, The sword, O.C.T.B., Rock n’ roll cop, School on fire, The big heat,…) rather than those almost “so bad it’s good” ones?
