Ballerina who? Anne Curtis is back with a vengeance in Erik Matti’s BuyBust: The Undesirables, a 9-episode sequel to his 2018 martial arts actioner BuyBust (read our review).
The original told the story of cop (Curtis) who finds herself trapped inside a dangerous slum area in Manila after a poorly planned buy-bust operation goes awry.
Following in the footsteps of BuyBust comes an equally gritty and intense action-thriller series set in a dystopian Philippines. The lone survivor of a botched drug bust goes on a quest for justice and revenge that increasingly blurs the lines between good and evil.
BuyBust: The Undesirables also stars Gerald Anderson (On the Job), Nour Hooshmand (Blue Room), Lotlot de Leon (On the Job 2: The Missing 8), Sarah Lahbati (Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa) and Eric Quizon (So… Happy Together).
BuyBust: The Undesirables hits Netflix next year. Watch the Teaser Trailer below:

The first one was pretty bad and I couldn’t get through all of it. Very unconvincing and script decisions that are just laughable.
The movie is flawed, but I’d welcome a sequel if it corrected what didn’t work the first time.
Hmmm. Not what I expected. It looks like there’s more emphasis on martial arts techniques this time as the movie didn’t have too much of that. It also seems framed like a horror series, and that Anne Curtis wandered into the village of Resident Evil 4.
I see ‘Apocalypse Now’ and ‘The Island of Dr. Moreau’ lol
first one was some of the worst action i’ve ever seen
I’ve seen worse. The Condemned is a guide for how not to film or edit action scenes.
I appreciated that Buy Bust was going for a more realistic vibe where no one is a martial arts expert, and moves are not crisp or precise, but it didn’t hit the mark.
Agree, the action in BuyBust could have been better, but it’s a bit of a stretch calling it the worst. And thanks for calling out THE CONDEMNED. That was shit wrapped in garbage served on a toilet seat.
