I wish there was a big Blu Ray box set with Angela Mao’s best films like what Shout did with the DVD set a few years ago. (Minus Queen’s Ransom) I guess there’s different rights holders which prevents it from happening.
Don’t give Shout any more ideas Andrew, our wallets are hurting enough!
Even though I already had the double DVD of Lady Whirlwind and Hapkido, I jumped on Arrow’s Blu Ray set because of the special features. I only double dip if it’s a better presentation or has unique extras.
lol @ your Queen’s Ransom comment. Such a cool concept on paper, especially with that crazy all-star cast, but the movie is a stinker for sure.
Minus ‘Stoner’ as well……
Not at all! Stoner was a fun guilty pleasure. Sleazy and kind of stupid, but full of great fight scenes that showed off George Lazenby’s skills while Angela dominated every time she was at it.
This is the 2nd time l’ve been called out for a guilty pleasure……Last week it was Slaughter in San Francisco! Clearly my taste for bad movies is not low enough….ha ha
It varies. I think Chu Yen-Ping films are piles of shit, but lots of people enjoy them.
I agree with Stoner! Unlike Queens Ransom, expectations are fulfilled with Stoner!
True, Stoner was very entertaining. I watched it on the big screen back in the day and its still a fine flick.
That’s a great idea. Another box set with Mao Ying would be a blessing. Although Queen’s Ransom wasn’t among her best outings, I still would like to see the Blu-ray formatted film.
Anyway, l’m absolutely stoked about this blu ray release!
