Later this year, Lionsgate Limited/Vestron Video is releasing the Blu-ray for Kickboxer 2: The Road Back, a 1991 martial arts action film from cult director Albert Pyun (Cyborg, Blast).
The punishing Kickboxer saga continues in Kickboxer 2, available on Blu-ray™ for the first time. Struggling to keep his family’s kickboxing gym afloat after the deaths of his brothers, David Sloane (Sasha Mitchell) accepts a shady promoter’s offer to return to the ring. As David racks up the wins, he attracts the attention of the brutal Tong Po (Michel Qissi), whose fierce desire to meet David in the ring is both bloody and personal.
The film also stars Peter Boyle (Taxi Driver), Dennis Chan (Easy Money), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Perfect Weapon), John Diehl (Land of Plenty), Brian Austin Green (Beverly Hills, 90210), Vincent Klyn (Cyborg) and Gene LeBell (Rush Hour).

🔥 Footnote: Unlike Dennis Chan (Xian Chow) and Michel Qissi (Tong Po), Jean-Claude Damme didn’t return for Kickboxer 2: The Road Back. By this point, his career was taking off, with bigger projects like Double Impact on the horizon. Instead, Sasha Mitchell was introduced as Kurt Sloane’s (Van Damme) younger brother, David, and went on to reprise the role in two more sequels, 1992’s Kickboxer 3: The Art of War and 1994’s Kickboxer 4: The Aggressor.
