shame on WB’s for the lack of effort .

    • ali yattou says:

yes warner is bullshit editor movies

    • Bruce Jensen says:

Exactly, we get the same extra’s we’ve had for the last 25 years or so?! They’re throwing in a few lobby card reproductions? They couldn’t even give us a new audio commentary track by someone who knows enough about Hong Kong movies to recognize Sammo Hung & Jackie Chan? Maybe someone like Andre Morgan? They couldn’t bother to interview people like Bolo Yeung or Betty Chung or Angela Mao? Clearly WB & the Lee Estate have learned nothing from Arrow Video, Eureka!, 88Films, etc..

      • JJ Bona says:

Agree. Repro lobby cards and posters are cute, but those are “press the print button” extras with no creative thought and very little value. But hey, at least we got the 4K UHD Theatrical cut. =) Those recycled extras need to rest already lol I’m sure they’ll reappear again in the 75th anniversary collection.

    • Scott Robinson says:

Warner’s laziness worked to our advantage since Mike Leeder didn’t do a commentary for it. Day one purchase for that simple factoid alone.

  2. Andrew Hernandez says:

When I bought 88 Film’s Blu Ray of Hero ‘97, it came with a booklet which was mostly a scathing review of the movie.

Similarly, it would be hilarious and awesome if this set came with a booklet featuring Mr Paul’s glowing breakdown of Enter the Dragon. https://cityonfire.com/enter-the-dragon-the-most-overrated-kung-fu-movie-ever/

    • Ha ha, thanks Andrew, it would have been an honour to be included. Although I feel like putting it out there to the Bruce Lee fans beyond the borders of COF wouldn’t be a good idea for my lifespan.

That’s hilarious about the ‘Hero’ booklet, who wrote it?

      • Andrew Hernandez says:

If you were in danger after that, that says more about the Bruce Lee apologists.

Andrew Graves wrote the summary for Hero ‘97. It tried to be a comparison to The Boxer From Shantung, but it seemed odd to allow buyers to be told afterwards “You bought a movie that we think sucks!”

  3. Bruce Jensen says:

Nice trailer … but that doesn’t excuse Warner Bros complete lack of effort to give us any new special features with this 50th anniversary edition of ETD. I may give in & buy their cheaper version of ETD in 4k at some point (if it’s cheap enough), but I’m in no rush, I’ll wait for reviews, at least. It’s not like I expect anything top quality from them, at this point.

  4. Kashif Nasar says:

It looks like they fixed the discolouration/damage issues that affected certain sections of the Criterion release.

At the very least, it will be the best the film has looked.

  5. Al Lui says:

At the end I’m just glad to see Enter in 4k. Not happy with the contents then stick to the blu ray.

  6. User3y4325 says:

For those criticizing this release, you missed the main point, which was to release this movie in the best possible form in 4K. Many fans who are more passionate than you actually care abut that. If you don’t, then just stick with the older HD Blurays.

  7. John Falzon says:

    I just pre-orderd this
I cant wait to get it 🙂
    Looking forward to seeing it
    🙂
