Already own this on Blu-Ray. If this was a 4k release it’d be an instant preorder! Great film! Love Prime Jackie!

  2. Aerosniff Someglue says:

Not very good, hugely cur or not. Take out the big and awesome fight (you know what I mean), and, well…

88 Films, Eureka, great work but too many aweful Jacki Chan movies (lots of great one too!). What about a few Stephen Chow (King of comedy, God of cookery, his “new” take of Journey to the West), Long arm of the law 1 & 2, The swordsman trilogy (at least the second one), etc.

I won’t buy Gorgeous because it’s mediocre, Jackie sucks in it (I don’t believe in hischaracter one second),…

  3. Bruce Jensen says:

Gorgeous? Meh … Shu Kei is beautiful, of course, but that’s always been true. As for Jackie in this movie he was clearly past his prime (too many obvious doubles, too much wire work [subtle, but still there] for my taste), and the story was nothing special, I barely remember it. It was nice that Brad Allen got a little time in the spot light, too bad it just wasn’t a very good movie. I’d be much more interested in seeing a 4k special edition of Who Am I, myself, that one felt more like a Jackie Chan classic to me.

    • Andrew Hernandez says:

The first time I saw Gorgeous, I didn’t even notice the doubles and wires. Even now though, it’s still Jackie for the majority of the big fight, and he shows good techniques. It was a better idea of what kind of action he should have kept doing as opposed to his later Stanley Tong collabs.
