If you enjoyed the recently released Tiger Cop: Toilet Paper Hero and still want more of that “80s Hong Kong action” nostalgia, then you don’t want to miss Dragon of the Law, a new action short from the independent creatives at Sydney Australia’s Silver Harvest films.
Dragon of the Law is written, directed and choreographed by David Vuong, produced by Therese Chen (who also handles cinematography and screenplay adaptation) with a cast that consists of David Hong, Michael Tang, Eric Tat, Brendon Chhor and Phuoc Quan Vuong.
Without further ado, press play and watch Dragon of the Law below. And don’t forget to rewind…
The typography, the color grading, the sets and the overall atmosphere are all on point. The cinematography, camerawork, choreography, all leave something to be desired/ is not quite 80s HK cinema level.
But admirable nonetheless. Props to any filmmaker who has such a deep love for the aesthetic!
Agree. They have it down pretty good. The gang at Fidelo Films, Phoenix Eye and Silver Harvest are killin’ it lately. =)
