From Emmy®-nominated writer-director John Herzfeld (1998, Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries or a Movie, Don King: Only in America) and co-writer Miles Chapman comes this epic third installment to Escape Plan.
Screen legend Sylvester Stallone kicks this explosive action tale into high gear. After security expert Ray Breslin (Stallone) is hired to rescue the kidnapped daughter of a Hong Kong tech mogul from a formidable Latvian prison, Breslin’s girlfriend (King) is also captured. Now he and his team must pull off a deadly rescue mission to confront their sadistic foe and save the hostages before time runs out.
The Escape Plan: The Extractors Digital 4K Ultra HD copy, Blu-ray, and DVD will include an audio commentary with director John Herzfeld, Sylvester Stallone, Devon Sawa, and Daniel Bernhardt as well as the featurette “The Making of Escape Plan: The Extractors,” which features never-before-seen cast and crew interviews that explain what it took to make this white-knuckle film.
The Escape Plan: The Extractors Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD will be available for the price of $24.99 and $19.98, respectively.
Don’t miss the film’s Red Band Trailer below:
This is insane that Escape Plan has become a franchise. The sequel was such a weird follow up seemingly made to appeal to international audiences. This looks more like a low rent Expendables 4. I had no idea this was even in production. I’ll probably watch it even though it’ll probably suck
I can’t make sense of it either. The first Escape Plan was actually pretty cool, and I was sad that it failed in the theatres. I don’t know what they’re doing here since Stallone was barely in part 2, and might not be in part 3 too much. (Jaime King as his girlfriend? He’s 40 years older than her!)
Is that Max Zhang in the trailer again?
Money laundering and tax write-offs, what else. No way this film makes its production budget back off of DVDs and VOD, and it’s not supposed to.
There’s a whole sub-industry of films and reality shows that never even make it to air or distribution. The point is just to ring up expenses and/or show a loss.
Stallone is interesting because half of his output seems to be real films that could potentially turn an actual profit, whereas the other half is mostly this type of tripe.
True statement. I can’t wait for Rambo 5!
Wrong. Stallone is still big internationally and his films make millions in sales.
interesting because half of his output?
