‘Parasite’ star Song Kang-ho, Gang Dong-won and Bae Doona team up with Hirokazu Kore-eda for ‘Broker’

Song Kang-ho (Parasite, Secret Reunion), Gang Dong-won (Peninsula, A Violent Prosecutor) and Bae Doona (Drug King, Tunnel) will be appearing together in CJ Entertainment’s Broker.

The film will mark the Korean directing debut of Hirokazu Kore-eda (Like Father, Like Son), a Japanese filmmaker known for the acclaimed 2018 film, Shoplifters. 

Broker is the story of individuals whose lives become intertwined around a mysterious ‘Baby Box’, which is a box designed to allow people who are unable to raise children to deposit their babies anonymously.

  2. Interesting indeed! Bae Doona has worked with Kore-eda before on 2009’s ‘Air Doll’, so it’ll be interesting to see how this turns out. I’m having some difficulty imagining the likes of Song Kang-ho and Gang Dong-won adjusting their natural charisma to the directors typically languid and understated style, but we’ll see!
