“Relentless Fury” Theatrical Poster
iQIYI’s hardest working martial arts star, Andy On (Blind War), teams up with Vanness Wu (Ip Man 4: The Finale) in Relentless Fury, an upcoming action thriller directed by Jimmy Hung (Road Less Traveled).
Not sure what’s going on plot-wise, but the film’s sharply edited Trailer showcases action laced with visuals reminiscent of Gen X Cops, but not without the obvious influence of today’s John Wick franchise.
Given that the director of Relentless Fury is the son of Hong Kong cinema legend, Sammo Hung (Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In), there’s definitely going to be some high expectations set. Like father, like son? We’ll see.
Relentless Fury is set to premiere July 11th on Chinese streaming service iQIYI (via MAAC). Watch the Trailer below:
Avoid this one. Has all the problems of other Andy On streaming movies but none of the good bits. Actions is filmed by someone who can’t hold a camera steady. The “acting” is embarassing and it looks like it had the budget of a dinner at mcdonalds.
