5 Creative Resume Ideas That’ll Get You Hired ASAP

It’s hard to find enjoyment in resume writing.

It can be tedious and most of the time it doesn’t end up leading anywhere. Most resumes all look the same and a lot of job sites use a system that eliminates candidates based solely on keywords. If this describes your feeling towards resumes, then you’re not doing it right.

There’s still a good amount of evidence that a unique and eye-catching resume can get you the job. In this post, we’re going to give you 5 creative resume ideas that will actually get you that interview for your dream job.

We can only help get you in the door, so you’ll have to manage the rest yourself. Getting in the door is half the battle, though.

1. Facebook Feed

Dress your resume up like a Facebook news feed and you’re sure to get a double or triple take. What’s funny about the Facebook feed is that it actually does read like a resume, so you don’t have to change much to turn it into a good resume.

You can include a picture, nicknames, your education background, work background, your relationship status (aka employment status), and a few of your favorite things to let whoever’s reading it know that you mean business.

2. Newspaper or Magazine

A more elegant way to display your resume is to turn it into the front page of a newspaper or a magazine spread. Find your favorite magazine and flip through to find the main story to figure out ways to display your accomplishments.

You could make your cover letter the cover of the magazine and your resume the actual story. It’s a great look and it’s sure to stand out from the stack.

3. Infographics

People use infographics all the time when they’re analyzing business data, so why not use it to describe the data of your life? You can include a flashy timeline of how your education and work history played out, making it easy for the employer to see what you’ve been doing with your time.

Plus, if you’re applying for a job where you’ll need design skills, you can showcase them with your infographic resume. If you lack design skills, check out Adobe’s presentation templates for help getting started.

4. Headshot Included

Including a professional headshot is a bold move that might just pay off. If you’ve ever been on the other end of a job search, you invariably end up wondering what some of the faceless names in the pile of resumes look like.

Take the guessing game away by giving them an actor style headshot along with your cover letter.

5. Movie Poster

If you’re a graphic designer, you can’t go wrong with the movie poster resume. It gives you a chance to show off your graphic design skills, but you can also capitalize on something that everyone loves; movies.

You can either spoof an existing movie poster or showcase that creativity with something they’ve never seen before.

Creative Resume Ideas Can Set You Apart From the Crowd

Use these creative resume ideas to inspire your own unorthodox resume. They might not “do it” for every hiring committee, but you don’t want to work for a company that you don’t fit in with anyways. Creative resumes are a great way to stand apart from the crowd and find your dream job.

Top 5 Most Expensive Women's Shoes Brands You Can't Miss

Top 5 Most Expensive Women’s Shoes Brands You Can’t Miss

Do you consider yourself a shoe aficionado? If so, you know how much of a splurge on designer footwear can cost you. But did you know some shoes are considered so valuable they can’t even be worn?

Curious about what the most expensive women’s shoe brands are? In this article, we’re highlighting the best and most luxurious of women’s shoe brands in 2020. So, you can get inspired and start the year off on the right foot (or in the right shoe).

Christian Louboutin

Known for its iconic red soles and high heels, Christian Louboutin is one of the most iconic shoe brands on the planet. This brand blends classic style with a contemporary cutting edge and has been worn by everyone from Rihanna and Lea Michele to Nicki Minaj and Cardi B—in fact, Cardi B even mentions them in her hit song, “Bodak Yellow”.

So, how much can you expect to pay for them? Well, their Sexy Strass shoe is priced at close to $4,000. Which is quite fair given that it’s a leather pump encrusted with gorgeous Swarovski crystals.

Gucci

Gucci is another staple in any fashion maven’s shoe closet. Gucci shoes are popular among the rich and famous, as well as the standard shoe lover who’s willing to spend their holiday bonus on a pair of gorgeous shoes. And you can expect to see plenty of knockoffs of these shoes on these streets.

Gucci sneakers can cost anywhere from $700 to $1000 dollars. But their 2020 Woven Leather Boot will cost you closer to $4,000 as well. That’s what you should expect when you’re investing in alluring and unapologetic couture that’s been worn by the likes of mega superstars like Kim Kardashian.

Manolo Blahnik

Manolo Blahnik is a high-end shoe brand known for its dazzling sky-high stilettos. It’s been a fashion staple since the 1970s and has reflected rebellious and exotic style since then.

So, what’s the price tag on Manolo Blahnik? Their Blixa alligator pumps cost over $4,500—and are almost impossible to get since they’re always sold out. But these light orange Alligator shoes can’t be missed.

Stuart Weitzman

Another incredibly popular (and expensive) women’s shoe brand is Stuart Weitzman. This company and its manufacturers are all based in Spain, and created with only the highest grade materials like 24-carat gold.

Stuart Weitzman shoes range from $600 to thousands of dollars. And many A-list actresses and celebrities like Charlize Theron have been spotted out and about sporting these iconic shoes.

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton is a brand known worldwide—thanks to its stunning array of shoes and handbags. They’re also behind the most expensive shoe to ever sell. Which, surprisingly enough, was men’s shoes.

That’s right. Their Manhattan Richelieu Shoes, which was released in 2010, sold for $10,000. Talk about an expensive pair of shoes.

Ready to Treat Yourself to One of These Expensive Women’s Shoes Brands?

Are you looking to strut down the street like a supermodel or A-list celebrity? Then you may want to invest in these expensive women’s shoe brands. While they may cost a pretty penny, they can elevate your look and make you the center of attention wherever you go.

Which Casino Games Have the Best Odds and Which Have the Worst?

Which Casino Games Have the Best Odds and Which Have the Worst?

Which Casino Games Have the Best Odds and Which Have the Worst?

When you walk into a casino, the first question you should ask yourself is, “How much money am I prepared to gamble with?” But the very next question you should ask yourself is, “Which casino games have the best odds?”

It doesn’t matter how much money you bring to the casino with you. If you play nothing but casino games with long odds, you’re going to make it hard to win any money.

Let’s take a look at some of the games that offer both the best odds and the worst odds inside of a casino.

Best Odds: Blackjack

If you have $100 in your pocket and you commit to playing relatively small hands (think under $5 per hand), you can play blackjack for hours and hours on end.

Blackjack has turned into one of the most popular games at casinos because of how easy it is to learn. But it’s also popular because you’ll win about 49% of the blackjack hands that you play.

If you’re wondering which casino games have the best odds, look no further than the blackjack table. It’s the place to be for those who want to win money.

Worst Odds: Slots

Those visiting a casino for the first time are often mesmerized by the slot machines inside of it. They light up, make lots of noises, and give people the impression that they’re pretty much giving money away.

But this is not the case. There are some slot machines that offer decent odds compared to others. But generally speaking, the odds are astronomical when it comes to hitting the jackpot on any slot machine.

If you’re OK with losing all your money at a slot machine over time, it’s a decent way to spend an afternoon. But it’s not going to make you rich—or anywhere close to rich—in most cases.

Best Odds: Roulette

One of the other things people usually notice almost right away when they set foot in a casino for the first time is all the roulette wheels. People tend to gather around them to see where the little ball is going to land on the roulette wheel.

They also gather around roulette wheels thanks to the odds that they provide for gamblers. If you choose to play the outside during a game of roulette and bet exclusively on which colors will come out, you’ll win about 50% of your spins.

The odds go down a little when you start playing inside and betting on individual numbers on the roulette wheel. But even then, the payouts associated with those odds will more than makeup for it.

Worst Odds: Poker

We want to make one thing clear: Poker doesn’t always offer terrible odds. If you’re an incredible poker player, you can rake in the big bucks at a table filled with amateurs.

But if you aren’t that good at playing poker, you could very well be one of those amateurs getting your money taken by a more experienced player. In that situation, poker offers pretty bad odds to someone like you.

If you find yourself sitting at a poker table while on a cruise, you should know that casino cruises can be as high stakes as you want. But you should also know that those stakes shouldn’t involve poker if you’re not a highly skilled player.

Learn Which Casino Games Have the Best Odds and Play Them

Now that you know which casino games have the best odds, you should start playing them during your casino visits. Stick with blackjack and roulette over craps and poker (unless you’re a fantastic poker player!) and make money doing it.

Find out which other which casino games have the best odds, too. You can get away with playing games like craps, which also provides players with great odds.

Ip Man 4: The Finale (2019) Review

"Ip Man 4: The Finale" Theatrical Poster

“Ip Man 4: The Finale” Theatrical Poster

Director: Wilson Yip
Cast: Donnie Yen, Scott Adkins, Danny Chan, Vanness Wu, Chris Collins, Wu Yue, Lo Meng, Kent Cheng, Mark Strange, Jim Liu, Nicola Stuart-Hill, Linda Jean Barry
Running Time: 105 min.

By Paul Bramhall

I once read somewhere that there’s nothing wrong with changing your mind, and while I forget exactly where it was, I have a feeling Donnie Yen may have read the same thing too. After 2010’s hyper-jingoistic Ip Man 2, Yen declared he believed he’d done all he could with his portrayal of Ip Man, and would be broadening his horizons to other roles. That all changed in 2015, with the arrival of Ip Man 3, with Yen declaring the script and story just felt right, offering up a true conclusion to the cinematic Ip Man saga. I admit Yen had me fooled with the third, because I went ahead and wrote this, genuinely believing it was a wrap with the trilogy. However it turns out there’s more mileage to be had from Ip Man after all, with a fourth instalment arriving on our screens in 2019.

Apparently this really is the last chapter, and as if to convince us further, the filmmakers have even added additional wording to the title – Ip Man 4: The Finale – a quirk previously reserved for unofficial entries in the franchise, such as Ip Man: The Legend Begins and Ip Man: The Final Fight. Yen once again claimed that the right story had come along, and this time went one step further to say that Ip Man 4 (we’ll drop The Finale for the rest of the review) would be his final kung fu film. A strong statement, but one which could well be true, since having watched Yen’s latest outing as the iconic Wing Chun master, it’s safe to say it is indeed the last entry in the series. It’s also a fitting one.

It was inevitable at some point that the franchises focus would turn to Bruce Lee. The Little Dragon has had a lot of attention in 2019, thanks to Mike Moh’s portrayal in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood, and a lot of the marketing for Ip Man 4 has focused on Lee’s role. Thankfully, much like his appearance in Ip Man 3, the marketing is mostly a red herring. Danny Chan once again steps into the role of Bruce Lee, and really his role is only there as a means to bring Ip Man to America, and feature in an extended alley way fight against British powerhouse Mark Strange (Bodyguard: A New Beginning). It may be superfluous fan service, however his inclusion is a welcome one and smartly used, even allowing for some nunchucks action.

That’s good news for Ip Man fans, with a story that continues the melancholy tone from Ip Man 3. After losing his wife, Ip Man learns he’s also been diagnosed with cancer, so under the guise of going to see Bruce Lee perform in the San Francisco Karate Tournament, he heads to America to see if it’d be a suitable place to send his son once he’s gone. It turns out to be far from smooth sailing though, since to even consider applying to schools there, he needs a letter of recommendation from the Chinese Benevolent Association in Chinatown. Comprising of the areas Chinese martial arts experts, they’re not impressed with the way Man’s apprentice, Bruce Lee, has been openly offering to teach westerners kung fu, and the letter is only offered in return for his help in stopping Lee’s non-conformist approach. Will he go against his former student for a chance to benefit his son, or will he stick to his unwaveringly upright principles?

Since I’ve already mentioned Bruce Lee isn’t in it much, the answer is clear. But therein lies the same issue that Ip Man 3 had, in that Ip Man’s personal struggle (the last time it was his shortcomings as a husband) is more compelling than what develops into the main plot. Thankfully this time the narrative is not as rambling as part 3 (although personally I enjoyed that aspect of it), however what turns into a main conflict between the Chinese kung fu masters, and the Karate obsessed racist US Marines (Yes, it’s an oxymoron. No, it’s never addressed) is handled in a ham fisted manner. Escalating from a painfully unnecessary subplot involving the CBA head’s daughter winning a high-school cheerleading competition over her all-American competition, soon the American girl’s military father is involved, and those damn Chinese have nowhere to hide. Bring It On was never this intense. (Disclaimer: I’ve never actually seen Bring It On)

Despite the hokey elements, Yen keeps even the more ridiculous aspects grounded with a heartfelt performance, and he’s more than ably backed-up. The head of the CBA is played by Wu Yue, one of the most underrated martial artists working today and a fine actor to boot. If you don’t know him, watch Paradox, he’s the guy who steals every scene he’s in and makes Louis Koo look like a weak child. Yue brings a sense of dignity to his role as someone who’s spent most of his life feeling oppressed by the racism he’s encountered, and for once it doesn’t feel like we’re getting hammered over the head with it. Other familiar faces from Hong Kong cinema also make welcome appearances, such as Venom alumnus Lo Meng and the portly Kent Cheng.

On the villain side it’s a different story, with Chris Collins playing the Marines ruthless Karate instructor, and Scott Adkins playing his racist superior. Both are clearly having a hoot, and perhaps aware of the late Darren Shahlavi’s battle stories from Ip Man 2 of how he was constantly asked to go more over the top, they mitigate falling into the same trap by belting out some hilarious lines. Collins spends his whole time shouting about how the power of “real combat Karate” is going to show just how useless “hanky panky kung fu” really is, and Adkins plays his role in a way which is best described as a Cannon Films version of R. Lee Ermey’s drill sergeant from Full Metal Jacket. Just swap jokes about being able to suck a golf ball through a garden hose to jokes about a Wing Chun dummy being someone’s wooden girlfriend.

Like Ip Man 3, action duties go to Yuen Woo-Ping, and here he produces his best work since, well, Ip Man 3. It takes a while for Ip Man to spring into action, however this just means that the action doesn’t feel rushed (and the Bruce Lee alley fight tides the audience over). An amicable confrontation with Wu Yue is a highlight, calling to mind Yen’s similar confrontation with Chen Zhi-Hui in the 2008 original, and is remarkably fluid and crisp. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt a sense of awe at watching a modern day fight scene, however this scene brought those feelings right back. We also get a variation on the horrendous table-top fight from Ip Man 2 which is focused on subtly showing the power of kung fu, and almost feels like Woo-Ping is saying “Hey, Sammo, this is how you should have done it.”

Action fans are spoilt with a showdown of kung fu masters, as Chris Collins invites each of them for a one-on-one fight, and each get to show off their own distinctive style. While it would have been great to get a re-match between Wu Yue and Collins after their contemporary face-off in Paradox, we do get to see Yen face off against him, and it’s a suitably satisfying confrontation. Adkins saves himself for the finale, not appearing until 50 minutes in, however gets to fight both Yue and Yen. Ip Man 4 reinforces my opinion that the British star should take on more villain roles, as here like in 2018’s Triple Threat, he makes for an intimidating presence. His fight with Yen should satisfy, and in many ways rectifies the Wing Chun versus Karate finale of the original, in which Yen faced off against non-martial artist Hiroyuki Ikeuchi. Here’s there’s no mistaking that Yen is evenly matched, and you feel every one of the blows Adkins delivers.

Ip Man 4 is arguably director Wilson Yip’s most mature work to date. The tone and pace reflect an understanding that for the audience, the promise of some action, is just as important as the action itself. There’s a confidence in both the direction and the acting performances, indicating a partnership between a director and star that’s reached its peak, almost 15 years since reigniting Hong Kong action cinema with 2005’s Sha Po Lang. As Yen’s final bow playing the role that’s defined his career over the last 10 years, it’s a worthy one, and perhaps more importantly, it’s also an outstanding kung fu movie. Oh, and in case anyone is wondering – yes, there’s chain punches.

What is Matched Betting?

Matched betting is the process of taking advantage of free offers by online casinos to earn real money. Many online casinos will offer free money or matched deposits when you first sign up. You can then take that money and structure your bets to reduce the risk of losing.

Matched betting is an inexpensive and accessible way to make extra money. You don’t need special software or impressive math skills to get started, and since you hedge your bets, you’re actually very unlikely to lose any money at all.
Keep reading for a complete overview!

How Does Matched Betting Work?

Matched betting works by finding ways to first get free money. You should check out several different casinos to see what the best offers are – you can check out some key online gambling Bonuses and promotions here. You’ll want to sign up for several different casinos.

Then, you need to structure your bets to hedge against the risk of losing. You’ll break down your bets into back bets and lay bets.

Back bets are you betting that something will happen – like a football team winning their game. A lay bet is you betting that something won’t happen – namely, that the same football team will not win.

Since you’ve covered all the possible outcomes, you’ll be able to collect some sort of winnings no matter what happens. You’re looking for binary bets – betting on a win and a loss – instead of prop bets, which are betting on specific things happening, like seven touchdowns in a game.

But Won’t You Lose Money Too?

Sort of!  Sometimes, it’s actually a good idea for you to put in bets that will make you lose a few cents here and there.

That’s because placing a bet may qualify you for a free bet or free funds. Many casinos and online bookmakers will send out revolving offers to keep you engaged so long as you put in enough of your own money.

The way matched betting works is that you look at different casinos or bookmakers to find odds that are the same. Making use of an oddsmatcher software can streamline this process. You want to bet on the same game, using money or free bets that you got from your initial sign up or on the revolving offers that they send you.

Since you’re not actually risking your money some of the time, and you’re able to collect the winnings, matched betting is a low-risk way to gamble on sports games and turn a consistent profit.

Matched Betting is a Way to Earn Extra Cash

Matched betting can be quite a profitable side-hustle, and you don’t even have to know about what you are betting on. You’re just matching odds together and taking advantage of promotional offers. While it’s unlikely to replace your day job, it is a good, low-risk way to save up for something special.

Shaolin Avengers | aka Invincible Kung Fu Brothers (1976) Review

"Shaolin Avengers" Chinese Theatrical Poster

“Shaolin Avengers” Chinese Theatrical Poster

AKA: Invincible Kung Fu Brothers
Director: Chang Cheh
Co-director: Wu Ma
Cast: Alexander Fu Sheng, Chi Kuan Chun, Chan Wai Lau, Bruce Tong, Lung Fei, Choi Wang, Johnny Wang Lung Wei, Chiang Sheng, Leung Kar Yan
Running Time: 93 min.

By Martin Sandison

As a kid I remember settling down to watch Chang Cheh’s Shaolin Temple for me the crowning achievement of his monumental Shaolin-cycle. A depiction of the classic story so nuanced, well-acted and topped off with a fantastic end fight, the film is one of the all-time best Shaw Brothers productions. The same year Chang as usual was an incredibly busy man, and made another Shaolin-cycle movie, Shaolin Avengers, featuring Alexander Fu Sheng and Chi Kuan Chun reprising their roles from Shaolin Temple, the film surprised me with an original style of narrative, advanced choreography for the time it was made, and a hilarious and horrid approach to the classic weak spot kung fu movie trope.

Fong Sai Yuk (Alexander Fu Sheng), his brother Fong Xiaoyu (Bruce Tong Yim Chaan, The Naval Commandos) and Hu Huigan (Chi Kuan Chun) have common enemies. In a novel approach to the storyline, they face off against them at the beginning of the film. As the fight progresses, flashbacks reveal the lead up to this deadly battle.

As you would expect from a Shaw Brothers classic like this boasting an innovative narrative, it’s written by Kuang Ni, who scripted most of the greatest films in the canon, and has over 200 writing credits to his name. Chang Cheh also assisted in the writing process, something he did from the very start of his career. The incorporation of the flashbacks never seems forced or jarring, they are a natural way to tell the story. I hold my hands up, and say I don’t have much knowledge of the real Fong Sai Yuk, and whether there is much historical accuracy here. But I’m guessing not, let’s be honest these movies play fast and loose! And there are so many of them telling similar stories, both Shaw Brothers, Golden Harvest and the Indies, that for many of them the phrase fast and loose is an understatement.

Interestingly, both this film and Shaolin Temple were not choreographed by the crack masters Lau Kar Leung and Tang Chia. They had the action reins of so many Chang Cheh films at the time, many of the Shaolin-cycle such as slices of brilliance like Shaolin Martial Arts and Men from the Monestary. The choreographers here are Hsieh Hsing and Chen Hsin I, who previously had worked with Chang on the disappointing Marco Polo. Both men cut their teeth in bashers and early 70s Indies such as Hero of Chiu Chow and Hurricane. So do their efforts at least match Lau and Tang? In my mind they most certainly do, and at times are more impactful and mind-blowing than Lau and Tang’s output around the time such as the flappy-handed 5 Shaolin Masters.

‘76 was a watershed year for the kung fu movie, mainly with the release of two Indies: Hong Kong’s Secret Rivals and Taiwan’s The Hot, the Cool and the Vicious. Both films were choreographed by the unsung master Tommy Lee, and ushered in a new style of action. Flashy high kicks, intricate handwork and an impact that hadn’t been seen before were ground-breaking. Shaolin Avengers was made the same year, and I would argue some of that influence can be seen here. There are the usual concentration on traditional styles of kung fu, to the point of overkill, but some takes are resounding in their impact, with a crispness and excellent timing that would be seen as the genre advanced in to the ultimate year of the old school: 1978. Having watched the majority of Fu Sheng’s filmography, I would say here is some of his best action. One take had me in bootwork heaven, as he deals with four lackeys, interchanging kicking techniques brilliantly. Chi Kuan Chun, a legitimate master of real kung fu, is in incredible shape as always and brings a brooding physicality to his role.

The variety of villainous actors displayed here is one sure to turn old school fan heads. ‘Beardy’ Leung Kar Yan, Odd Couple, in one of the first films in which he sported his infamous beard, gets a couple of fights and performs a deadly pull-out-the-innards-Shaws-style finishing move. Wang Lung Wei, Martial Club, the ultimate Shaw Bros villain, has a small part here and a couple of great two-on-ones versus Chi Kuan Chun. Among the lackeys there are Venoms Lu Feng and Chiang Sheng, and The Dragon, the Hero choreographer Tang Tak Cheung. The biggest surprise is that perennial Indie movie villain Lung Fei, in his sole Shaw Brothers part. I love this guy. From my favourite axe-action in Dream Sword to hamming it up as a Karate master in One Armed Boxer, he is always one to rely on. His fight with Fu Sheng on that great set, the wooden poles, is one for the ages.

At times the cracks of Shaw Brothers approach to film-making begin to show; there’s a set used in countless films that stages kung fu contests used here, plus painted backgrounds that look a little silly, taking you out of the film. The formulaic nature is of course present here, with a shooting style, character types and storyline we’ve all seen before; it’s a basic revenge plot, with Shaolin heroes doing their thing, and a standard filmic style with little variation or innovation from what we have seen before. However, when it comes to the fights there is freshness and impact, and the flashback narrative echoes this. Plus – get this – Fu Sheng goes through invincible skin training, meaning his whole body is impenetrable. Apart from… his anus. Whoah.

While not in the top pile of Chang Cheh flicks, for me this one is near the top of the Shaolin-cycle, just shy of its predecessor Shaolin Temple. Will Fu Sheng feel the sting in his brown eye? Watch on to find out.

5 Movies We Can’t Wait to Watch in 2020

"Bad Boys 2" Japanese Theatrical Poster

“Bad Boys 2” Japanese Theatrical Poster

What makes a movie so exciting that we cannot wait to see it when it comes on the big screen? Well, it must have good writing, acting, and plot line, sound effects, and special effects—if the movie calls for these—and it must have a sizeable budget to produce it. These characteristics will help a movie be successful but they are not guarantees the movie will be a hit. The movie has to cover a subject that has not been explored or if it has been explored. It must be presented in a new way that has never been approached before. There are sequels that will follow the original movie that could be super hits but, again, these sequels do not guarantee they will be successful. There have been series of movies made and the sequels to the original movies were bombs.

2019 was not a kind year to movie lovers as we lost many talented artists in this year. Horror movie icon Sid Haig died in September 2019 from an untold accident. His wife reported on Instagram back in September 2019. He was 80-years-old at the time of his passing. He was best known for his role as Captain Spaulding in the horror classic “House of 1000 corpses” and his career spanned about 6 decades. He was in a few other classics including “The devil’s Rejects” and he starred in the new “3 from Hell.” He was mourned by horror movie fans the world over.

Hopefully 2020 will be a better year with a lot of movie hits to enjoy. We will discuss some potential mega hit movies for 2020 below.

Underwater

Underwater is a dark science fiction thriller that stars Kristen Stewart but the odd thing about the movie is that it was made back in 2017. It is slated to be released Jan. 10, 2020 which is almost 3 years after the fact. But this should not stop moviegoers from going out and viewing this underwater thriller. You may remember Kristen Stewart from “Charlie’s Angels” but the movies co-star T.J. Miller has since practically ruined his career for good. It is rumored he is a substance abuser, he called in a fake bomb scare and he bad mouthed the very series that made him a star.

It remains to be seen if his downfall will hurt the movies grossing capabilities or not. Kristen Stewart may balance out that black mark on the movie. She said in an interview, that the movie is about a group of scientists performing research in an underwater lab located in the sea. There is an earth-rocking earthquake that leaves the scientists trapped underwater unable to escape.

Kristen says this maybe the biggest score she has ever starred in and she is very excited about the movie’s potential. She states that her character is very fragile and she is protective of the character—how she is protective of the character—she did not elaborate. Her character is one of four scientists who do not know each other but rapidly develop some weird relationships.

The earthquake has thrown four unlikely friends together in some very dark and traumatic circumstances. Her character is revealed in sublime traumatic events that occur as the movie progresses. She says on a personal level it was a very hard movie to film and she was cold and exhausted most of the time. She reflects that a main premise of the movie is to show how human

beings will react to traumatic and life threatening circumstances on relationally, personal, and existential point of views. Who are the cowards and the heroes in the movie? It seems like this is a type movie she has never starred in before. It is hoped that because the movie was filmed in 2017 that it will not lose its freshness.

Bad Boys for Life

This is the long-awaited sequel to “Bad Boys 2”– which made is splash on the silver screen 17 years ago—has finally been set to premiere January,17,2020 on Martin Luther King Jr. day which is no coincidence. The movie stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence who are coming together again after nearly 20 years. They will be reprising their characters Sgt. Mile Lowery and Sgt. Marcus Barnett respectively. They are Miami drug agents to face a deadly drug cartel and try to break the cartel’s drug-dealing activities. Fans have been waiting for this movie to surface for years.

Back in 2003, “Bad Boys 2’ grossed the producers a cool 203 million so it was highly successful. All the ingredients are in place to make this movie as successful as or more successful than that 2003 blockbuster. Moviegoers have been tracking the ever-changing production status and now the movie is to officially launch. It was a minor miracle the movie finally was completed.

The two actors enjoy a charismatic chemistry on film and they most likely will not die on the film. The project was off again and on again over the years and when a key player left production the project was all but thought doomed. Martin Lawrence confirmed the movie was dead but Will Smith said in late 2018 that the project had been resurrected. It is supposed to be released in theatres in January, 2020.

The plot line has been kept under wraps so no one really knows which way the movie will go. But it promises to be a great release in the “Bad Boys” tradition. It will certainly not disappoint fans who have been waiting for the film’s release for a long time.

Dr. Dolittle

The movie has been made a couple of times since the original aired in 1967 starring Rex Harrison. But the newer versions never came close to approaching the success that the 1967 classic achieved. The current edition stars Robert Downey Jr. starring as the doctor in this modern version. The plot is about a doctor who has the uncanny ability to talk to animals.

The movie boasts a star-studded supporting cast and this movie may hit iconic status if all the elements are done in order and they come together. Dr. Dolittle can communicate with animals and he is a good friend of the animal kingdom. The character was born from letters a World War 1 veteran wrote to his children at home. The character took on a life of its own. The soldier’s name was Hugh Lofting and the letters turned into popular children’s books that were written starting in the 1920’s until the 1950’s.

The Gentlemen

This movie is coming out on January, 24, 2020 and has a unique plot to say the least. It is focused on an English Drug Lord who tries to sell of his dynasty to a group of Oklahoma billionaires. It will have plenty of action and espionage probably murder in the story line. Guy Ritchie is the director of this pre-1900 thriller about a Drug Lord who tries to sell of his drug empire to some American billionaires. Something goes wrong in the movie and there will be plenty of gun fire during the movie. The movie will not lack in action.

Ritchie, in the past few years has directed genre specific movies including “Aladdin, and King Arthur: The Legend of the Sword” making fans wonder if he has lost his touch as a director. This movie is in lines with the more Ritchie vintage movies of earlier years. Some are claiming this could resurrect the director’s career and renew his fan’s confidence in his directing skills.

Gretel and Hansel

Once upon a time a very long time ago. There was a sister-brother combination named Gretel and Hansel who came upon hard times. The sister led the brother into the woods to a clearing where a candy-made house sat. The house was owned by a cannibalistic witch who had a bad habit of eating human flesh. The movie is an adaption of this timeless fairy tale classic.

Actually, the fairy tale originated in the 19th century and has become one of the most popular fairy tales of all time. The plot focuses on the children tricking the witch into jumping into the burning stove and she burns alive. She tries to fatten up the boy so she can have a hardy meal. She makes Gretel work long hours at extremely excruciating tasks. The movie is a fairy tale but it is also a gruesome tale at its finest.

Evil and good fight it out for preeminence and fortunately good prevails. The kids trick the witch and walk away with her hidden riches. They return home and live off the royalties for the rest of their happy lives. It is not known if this story has ever been made into a movie or not before. Be looking for it in the theatres on January, 31, 2020. It remains to be seen if the movie will be a box office hit or not.

The article has covered some of the potential blockbuster movies that could breakout into major hits if audiences around the world take to this to these movies. Some of the movies do boast all-star casts. Time will tell if we like these movies in 2020 or not.

The Beast and the Magic Sword | Blu-ray (Mondo Macabro)

The Beast and the Magic Sword | Blu-ray (Mondo Macabro)

The Beast and the Magic Sword | Blu-ray (Mondo Macabro)

RELEASE DATE: February 11, 2020

On February 11, 2020, Mondo Macabro will release the Blu-ray for The Beast and the Magic Sword, a 1983 Spanish/Japanese co-production.

The Beast and the Magic Sword is the last great film from Spanish horror legend Paul Naschy (Night of the Werewolf). Although he would go on making and planning films until his death in 2009, he never again attempted the epic sweep and grandeur of this 10th entry into the saga of Waldemar Daninsky, a man afflicted by the curse of lycanthropy.

In this film we get for the first time an origin story of how the Daninsky curse began back in the 10th century. We then move forward to 16th century Japan where Daninsky has travelled in search of a cure to his affliction.

Co-starring Japanese stage and screen veteran Shigeru Amachi (Sleepy Eyes of Death: Sword of Villainy), and shot in the studios of Toshiro Mifune, The Beast and the Magic Sword is a highly successful and colourful melding of European werewolf legends and dark Japanese fantasy. It features a fight between werewolf and tiger, an evil scarlet-cloaked witch who imprisons Daninsky, a sword fight with a troupe of ghost samurai, and many other unforgettable scenes.

The Beast and the Magic Sword also stars Beatriz Escudero (The Worker), Junko Asahina (Rapeman 1) and Violeta Cela (Eros Hotel).

This is the first Blu-ray release of this film and its first ever US release and includes both a full frame version and a widescreen version.

Special Features:

  • Brand New 4K Restoration from the original camera negative
  • Widescreen and Full Frame presentations of the film

Shaken not stirred: the best of James Bond

James Bond; the name itself is known not just nationally, but internationally. And, with the release date confirmed to be 2020 for Daniel Craig’s latest movie, it’s only fair to try and pick out five of Bond’s best moments.

Dr. No – “Bond. James Bond.”

It wouldn’t be James Bond without the tagline: “Bond. James Bond.” The very first movie – Dr. No – included the statement in 1962 and it’s since become perhaps the most famous introduction ever.

Sean Connery was the man of the moment, delivering the line with coolness, suavity and confidence – features that every Bond has exuded since that very moment. Of course, it was a casino scene where Connery made his intro, playing baccarat with a Ms. Sylvia Trench.

Such a scene in the 1960s may have shocked a number of people, but, in 2019, with the incredible rise in live – and particularly online – gambling with live betting, best bingo games and slots, it seems every bit the norm.

Goldfinger – Bond meets his sarcastic match

Everyone knows that Bond is renowned for his quick wit. So, when Auric Goldfinger gave Bond a taste of his own medicine in 1964 audiences were shocked.

Connery was again the lead man, asking Goldfinger – whilst he was strapped to a table with a laser bearing down on his private parts – “Did you expect me to talk?” to which Goldfinger replied “No, I expect you to die.”

Of course, not even a betting man would predict that Bond dies, but Goldfinger showed the importance of having strong, just-as-quick-witted villains to rival 007.

The World is Not Enough – Q waves goodbye

It’s an emotional one as Q – the quartermaster at MI6 – retires from the intelligence service. Actor Dennis Llewelyn played Q in nearly all of the Bond movies until The World is Not Enough. Sadly, Llewelyn died three weeks after the film’s release in 1999.

It’s a poignant end with Bond asking Q if he is retiring or not. Q retorts “I’ve always tried to teach you two things. First, never let them see you bleed.” Bond then asks, “And the second?” “Always have an escape plan.” In triumphant fashion, Q disappears down a hole in his laboratory floor.

Skyfall – Gung-ho in Shanghai

With the improvements in technology in the past few decades, James Bond reaped the benefits. Skyfall, in general, was a celebration of picturesque magnificence, but the Shanghai fight scene in particular, drove the movie into legendary status.

A fight between Daniel Craig and villain and would-be assassin Patrice takes place on the backdrop of blue neon lights. Of course, Craig as Bond prevails, but the silhouette-like fight was a moment of pure movie perfection.

Octopussy – Pain on a train

James Bond is no stranger to danger, but when Roger Moore took off on a train’s roof to escape enemies including Kamal Khan, audiences held their breath.

Moore is attempting to stop a nuclear warhead, but finds himself dodging obstacles left, right and centre on public transport’s finest bone-rattler.
