On February 16, 2026, Trinity CineAsia (UK) is releasing the 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray for Jackie Chan‘s latest action hit The Shadow’s Edge (read our review). If you’re the type who doesn’t buy physical media, you can catch it on Digital on February 2.

In the film, Jackie Chan re-teams with writer/director Larry Yang (Ride On). It also reunites Jackie with his Island on Fire and The Myth co-star, Tony Leung Ka-fai (League of Gods).

In The Shadow’s Edge, Jackie Chan stars as a retired surveillance expert from the Macau Police Service, who is rehired by the Police Force to collaborate with a team of elite young detectives to help capture a group of cunning thieves. In a tense confrontation between traditional tracking techniques and state-of-the-art technology, the police and criminals engage in a battle of wits, setting the stage for a cat-and-mouse showdown between good and evil (via Deadline).

Other co-stars include Wen Junhui (My Mother, The Legend Is Born: Ip Man), Zhang Zifeng (Aftershock, High Forces), Ci Sha (Raging Havoc, Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms), Broňo Bajtala (100 Yards) and Lee Huang (Kung Fu Yoga).

The Shadow’s Edge marks the first time for stuntman Su Hang to step into the role of action director, having last worked as assistant action director on Panda Plan, and previously handled the action choreography for the China shot parts of Japan’s Kingdom sequels. Similarly JC Stunt Team member Lee Huang is credited as the fight choreographer (having worked in the same capacity on productions like Den of Thieves: Pantera and Lift).

Trinity CineAsia is releasing the film to Digital platforms February 2, and on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray from February 16:

Curious how this will be. Although this should not be considered a reunion of that cyst of a movie! Lol

  2. Chan and Ka-fai also starred in ‘The Myth’ together, another candidate for a “cyst of a movie”! 🙂

  3. Paul Taggart says:

Hopefully this film features no pandas or horses

Quite a trailer. It finally occurred to Jackie to do something akin to Raging Fire and The Prosecutor. I suppose there won’t be any issue with the ultra violence as long as Jackie Chan plays a righteous cop and the message of the movie is “Don’t fuck with the Chinese police!”

“akin to Raging Fire and The Prosecutor”

I like those two movies, but this trailer makes ’em look like gentle films. It looks clearly darker, gorier,…

But it’s just a trailer. I’ll calmly wait for the whole movie.

I enjoyed karate kid legend. Looks forward to this one.

Does anyone know if it will screen in middle east?

  9. Kevin Tran says:

The movie is a hit for him in China. First week and it looks like it could beat Donnie Yen The Prosecutor entire run in china.

  10. Andrew Hernandez says:

I hope the IMAX release makes it to the US as well. When was the last time Jackie Chan had an IMAX release? (Besides his shit fests if they got that treatment)

  11. Typo says:

Not impressed at all by the “lisibility” (can’t find a better English word…I mean it’s very difficult to understamd what’s going on) of the Kar-fai with a knife scene.

Not a good sign (miles away from the “The man from nowhere” final knife scene…).

  12. Typo says:

    “Oldboy, eat your heart out!”

An insult Park Chan-wok. I know you’re paid to sell movies and nothing else, but come on. In 20 years (more, in fact), the hammer scene from Oldboy will be still loved and rightly admired. In five months (probably less) that knife scene from Shadow’s edge will be forgotten.

    Wanna bet?

    Trinity CineAsia?

The guys who promised a Blu-Ray for Stuntman but never delivered?
