  1. Ska Martes says:

Don’t want to be mean but this is the late career equivalent of value for moiney DVD boxsets which contained masterpeices like Rumble in Hong Kong, Master with Cracked Fingers, Fearless Hyena 2 and Fantasy Mission Force. Noticeably missing from this collection is underated masterpeices like Vanguard and Kungfu Yoga

    • The only thing that’s missing is a complimentary VCD release. 🙂

    • JJ Bona says:

So are we trying to say that Jackie’s spotty 00’s output was akin to oddities of the 70’s/80s output?

      • Ska Martes says:

His noughties output includes the Shanghai Noon movies and Rob B Hood is an underated classic. But yes I am saying the worst of his early output has more entertainment value than anything post Shinjuku Incident movies with the exception of the other underated classic, The Foreigner

    1911 is awful.

Police story – Lockdown and Railroad tigers ain’t great but still way better that atrocities like…1911, The myth, Kung fu yoga (oh my, that one…), The knight of shadows: Between Yin and Yang (couldn’t finish it…hey Jackie, how about monsters in CGI farting like crazy?…Awesome!), Vanguard (couldn’t finish it), Dragon blade…

The silly Rumble in Hong Kong is like Tsui Hark/Jet Li’s The master…only funny and with cool action scenes.

Big fan of Little big soldier here.
