Actually, don’t let the DVD cover fool you! Although Adkins is front and center, the real lead of the film is Amir Karara, but that’s not to say that Adkins (Triple Threat) fans should skip this (just watch the Trailer below).
Alexandria, Egypt. 1940. Three young Egyptians come to the aid of an Egyptian woman who is being attacked by three British soldiers. One of the soldiers, the nephew of the British military governor of Alexandria, is arrested and thrown in jail. When the governor’s demands to have his nephew released fail, the British military surround the police station and begin an all our assault. Trailer looks really interesting but what’s it actually about? I got the time period but what’s the plot?
Yousef El-Masry (Amir Karara), an Alexandria-based police officer, arrested a British soldier for raping a local virgin (along with another British soldier, who was later killed by one the locals) and murdering one of the other three local guys who tried to stop them, and refused to hand over the surviving British soldiers and two locals when told to by the British government, who were colonizing Egypt before 1952, therefore starting a war.
No Surrender sounds like a remake of Call of Heroes. Hopefully it’s better.
