JCVD’s ‘Full Love’ follows ‘The Eagle Path’ to a 3-Disc Blu-ray

Full-Love-Eagle-Path-Soldiers-Blu-ray-EIt may have taken a long time to get here, but this year, newly established U.S. distributor JVD Rewind will finally release Jean-Claude Van Damme’s long gesticulating sophomore feature as a director, Full Love, as a 3-disc Blu-ray special edition.

Read the official press release sent exclusively to City on Fire from JVD Rewind:

After a career reviving turn in 2008’s JCVD, the Muscles from Brussels returned to the director’s chair for only the second time since making his directorial debut, with 1996’s The Quest. Directing, writing, and starring, Full Love was Jean-Claude Van Damme’s most personal project, the culmination of a lifetimes worth of passion and pursuing his dreams, however it’s had a rocky journey to the screen. Now for the first time, fans can not only enjoy the final cut of Full Love, but also experience the full saga, from its conception to eventual release, and everything in-between. In a career that’s seen Van Damme take on the most iconic villains to grace the screen, the 3-disc Blu-ray of Full Love tells the story of Van Damme’s victory over his greatest adversary – himself.

Full specs below:

  • Full Love – 4k remastered version of the never before released final cut representing Van Damme’s true vision for his epic tale
  • The Eagle Path – 2k remastered version of Van Damme’s original cut, screened at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival out of competition

    • Alas, yes it’s an April Fools. However we live in an era which finally saw the release of Donnie Yen’s ‘Ice Man 2’, so maybe there’s hope yet that we’ll see ‘Full Love’ before 2019 is out! Just…don’t expect it to look like the above. 🙂

      • Andrew Hernandez says:

Ah man, I was really hoping for Van Damme’s kid’s drawing and the spelling mistake on the cover!

Although having seen the trailer 2 weeks ago, and Mike Leeder saying good things about the movie, it didn’t seem implausible that Full Love would finally be available.

  4. Mike Retter says:

I cant believe they left out the caterer’s cut … Or at-least Van Damme’s personal pastry-chef’s cut …
This thread-bare release has left me bummed.
