Skylines | Blu-ray & DVD (Lionsgate)

On January 12, 2021, the third film in Brothers Strause’ Skyline saga, titled Skylines, will be released on Blu-ray & DVD from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.
The XYZ Films production will take place after the events of 2017’s Beyond Skyline, which revolved around a detective (played by Captain America: Civil War’s Frank Grillo) embarking on a relentless pursuit to free his son from an alien warship with the help of The Raid franchise’s Iko Uwais and Yayan Ruhian.
For Skylines, Liam O’Donnell (Portals) once again writes and directs and Brothers Strause’ (directors of the first film) are on board as producers for a third time.
Official plot synopsis for Skylines: When a virus threatens to turn the now earth-dwelling friendly alien hybrids against humans, Captain Rose Corley must lead a team of elite mercenaries on a mission to the alien world in order to save what’s left of humanity.
Lindsey Morgan, who played Captain Rose Corley in the last film, returns. This time around, she’s joined by Daniel Bernhardt (Kill ’em All), Alexander Siddig (Reign of Fire), Rhona Mitra (Doomsday), James Cosmo (Braveheart), Jonathan Howard (The Capture), Jeremy Fitzgerald (Logan), Ieva Andrejevaite (I Am Dragon), Yayan Ruhian (The Raid 2, John Wick 3) and Cha-Lee Yoon, a German-Korean martial artist, whose credits include xXx: Return of Xander Cage and Chasing the Dragon (via FCS).

I thought that the 1st and 2nd movie was 3 &1/2 to 4 stars. CGI was good. Storyline was fine and actors too were good. Both films were actually better than many high paid actors and high budgeted movies that came out during the airing of both movies.
The camerawork and action choreo of the second film was awful. Completely pointless shakey cam when Iko knows perfectly fine how to fight.
Really enjoyed both movies, especially, Beyond Skyline. I was totally on the edge of my seat. Can’t wait for the third movie. Thanks for the awesome entertainment!
No wonder they say 2020 it’s going to be a great year ! FIRST Godzilla vs King Kong 2020, and now Skyline third and possible FINAL PART!!!!!! Now I can’t really wait for the next year to come!!!!
