“Legend Hunters” Theatrical Poster
Once “big time Hollywood action director” Simon West (Con Air, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) is following the footsteps of Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger, Bodies at Rest) by lending his movie-making talents to Chinese studios.
The first was 2019’s Skyfire (which is getting a U.S. release by Screen Media) and the second is The Legend Hunters, an actioner starring Zhang Hanyu (Wine War, Manhunt), Celina Jade (Wolf Warrior 2, Triple Threat) and Jiang Wu (Shock Wave, The Sorcerer and the White Snake).
The Legend Hunters, which is based on the Mojin book series, follows a team of tomb raiders and their thrilling adventures (perfect for West… after all, he directed Angelina Jolie in 2001’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider).
