“Jailbreak” Theatrical Poster
Director Jimmy Henderson – and stars Jean Paul Ly, Dara Our and Tharoth Sam – are re-teaming for Jailbreak: Round 2, a sequel to 2017’s Jailbreak. What’s even better is The Raid franchise villains – Cecep Arif Rahman and Yayan Ruhian – are in talks to play the film’s villains.
Written by Kai Miller (The Prey), Jailbreak: Round 2 sees Cambodia’s ragtag, renegade team of martial arts commandos band to defeat a fugitive crime lord “lodged atop 30 floors of hell,” according to producer Loy Te (Jailbreak). Te’s Kongchak Pictures is behind the movie with additional financing from Westec Media (via THR).
The original Jailbreak – which took home best action film at Fantasia Film Festival in 2017 – is known for being Cambodia’s and first action movie.
Jailbreak: Round 2 is scheduled to shoot next year.
Looking forward to this. I hope Jimmy Henderson’s Prey isn’t too far behind either.
