RELEASE DATE: June 28, 2025
On June 28, 2025, 88 Films will release a Blu-ray (Region B) for Her Vengeance, a 1988 Hong Kong Cat III film from director Lam Nai-Choi (The Story of Ricky, The Peacock King).
One of the first – and most notorious – of Hong Kong’s famously Adults Only Category III films, Her Vengeance stars Pauline Wong (The Blue Jean Monster) as a young woman hunting down the vermin who brutally assaulted her: ears will be sliced off, acid will be thrown and funeral directors will be kept very busy indeed…
With essential support from the legendary Lam Ching-ying (The Big Boss) as a warrior in a wheelchair and directed by Lam Nai-choi, master of Asian extremity (The Story of Ricky), Her Vengeance is a tale of retribution that could only have been made in Hong Kong. 88 Films are proud to present a cult classic – completely uncut – on blu-ray for the first time.
The film also stars Elaine Jin (Mad World), Sit Chi-Lun (Picture of a Nymph), Kelvin Wong Siu (High Risk), Hon Yee-Sang (A Queen’s Ransom), Billy Chow Bei-Lei (Tai Chi Boxer) and Shing Fui-On (My Flying Wife).
This title will soon be available at The Goodie Emporium, a U.S.-based online store that currently has many Import Shaw Brothers/Golden Harvest/martial arts DVD/Blu-ray movies in-stock – with New titles being added regularly!

Watch the film’s Trailer:
I see this movie many years ago and I remember liking the fact that al of her initial attempts at revenge are terrible and all fail completely. It’s only when she gets help from Lam Ching-Ying that it starts to come together.
In modern woke GirlBoss Hollywood that would NEVER happen. She would go from being a regular girl to being John Wick overnight.
