On October 26, 2026, 88 Films is releasing a Blu-ray (Region A/B) for 1986’s Where’s Officer Tuba?, an action comedy starring Sammo Hung (Eastern Condors), Jacky Cheung (Bullet in the Head), David Chiang (The New One-Armed Swordsman) and Joey Wong (City Hunter).
When timid police officer Tuba (Hung) – more interested in music than chasing crooks, is put on a dangerous mission, he witnesses the killing of decorated hero Chow, who makes him promise to avenge his death. However, when he fails to live up to his promise, Chow returns as a ghost…

Don’t take this the wrong way and what I write comes from a place of love but……Please can you let Frank Djeng do his job properly. Its ok to have some banter but your commentary for Drunken Master 2 crossed the line into Mike Leeder & BFF territory. I’ve noticed on some discs Frank has to do a second solo commentary because he’s realised he’s not parted enough information to the viewers.
Back to the DM2 comentary, you didn’t remember the directors name and only referrered to him as the director, none of the conversation was structured and by the end of the movie , you ended up confusing each other. I enjoyed hearing your meeting with Jackie because you were in his fan club but mentioning it more than once didn’t really seem relevant to what was happening onscreen.
Apart from this, another release that can join my ever growing Sammo bluray shelf. I’m also ready to do weekend shifts whenever these labels decide to re-release everything in 4k.
It’s funny in the morning I was discussing with my son how weird it was that “Where’s Officer Tuba?” doesn’t have a western release and by the evening I see 88 Films announcement. It was like Blu-Ray gods were listening to me lol. What a joy. Pretty excited for all these releases. And hopefully 88 gives the same treatment to Sammo films as they do for Jackie Chan. I don’t like Eureka’s Sammo sets with 3 films that have nothing to do with each other shoved together just because they had rights for those films. I know 88 is much better in that but for me it’s pity Sammo sets doesn’t get lobby card replicas.
