Action director Isaac Florentine (Undisputed II, Close Range) is teaming up with Millennium and Empire Films for a small screen reboot of his popular Undisputed film series.

The upcoming Undisputed series will follow the self-discovery voyage of Yuri Boyka (played by Scott Adkins in the films), a Russian prison fighter on parole who seizes the opportunity to participate in the world’s biggest and most prestigious underground fighting tournament (via THR).

Production for the Undisputed series begins in March 2020, so we’re we’re expecting to hear casting details soon.

Here’s an idea: How about Scott Adkins in the lead – if not, why bother?

Adkins, the only guy that can be overexposed and underexposed at the same time!!!

  2. Mike Retter says:

To answer the question, I reckon reboot it with someone more charismatic than Adkins.

There’s been talk of a BOYKA: UNDISPUTED series or 5th movie for some time, now maybe its just me but reading that article it doesnt seem like Scott Adkins is confirmed to be returning to the character, it says Isaac Florentine is attached and quotes from everyone but Adkins?

I’d love to see Adkins return, but if he doesn’t who could pick up the Boyka mantle?

“I’d love to see Adkins return, but if he doesn’t who could pick up the Boyka mantle?” The Bothan Spy: Ben Affleck. j/k I’m sure they’re just generating some buzz, then bam, they’ll announce Adkins as Boyka.

  4. The Bothan Spy says:

well from certain angles Ben Affleck is the Ukranian Scott Adkins!
Just feels weird that they aren’t officially mentioning Adkins return and i havent seen him share the news on Social Media ref the series

  5. Andrew Hernandez says:

I have mixed feelings about this. I’m not a fan of movies getting spin-off shows, and I’d rather see Undisputed 5 than go backwards.

Since Boyka didn’t redeem himself until Part 3, the series would be about a villainous Boyka going around killing everyone. (Unless it shows him starting off good and becoming bad.) I for one would love to see some martial arts prodigy be the younger Boyka and become a star.

This generation is full of young martial artists who are waiting for their big break.
