Indonesian director Timo Tjahjanto (Netflix’ The Night Comes for Us) of the “Mo Brothers” directing duo (Killers, Headshot, Macabre), is once again teaming up with Netflix for a film titled The Big Four.

“I’m honored for the opportunity to tell this particular story to the world. With my previous experience of working with Netflix that allowed international exposure, I’m very excited for this new project.” said Tjahjanto.

“Since its arrival in Indonesia in 2016, Netflix has partnered with Indonesian creative communities. We look forward to working with more Indonesian storytellers who will share their perspectives with the world,” said Netflix in a statement (via FCS).

Plot and other details about The Big Four are currently non-existent, but given Tjahjanto’s track record, we’ll be surprised if it doesn’t involve a crafty dose of blood, carnage and/or action.

Tjahjanto is also attached to direct a remake of Yeon Sang-Ho’s 2016 South Korean blockbuster hit, Train to Busan, and is in early stages of pre-production for The Blind of the Ghost Cave: Angel’s Eyes, which is a live-action adaptation of the Indonesian comic book by Ganes Thair Santoso.

Tjahjanto’s latest film, V/H/S/94which he directed along with Simon Barrett (V/H/S/2), Chloe Okuno (Slut), Jennifer Reeder (Knives & Skin) and Ryan Prows (Lowlife), will be released later this year.

We’ll keep you updated on The Big Four as we learn more. Until then, here’s a look at the genius of Tjahjanto in the Trailer for The Night Comes For Us:
