“Never Surrender” Poster
Netflix is getting ready to unleash another Indonesian action thriller with Never Surrender (aka Serangan Balik), the latest from Sidharta Tata (Ikatan Darah) and producer Kimo Stamboel, of The Mo Brothers directing duo (Macabre, Headshot).
The story centers on a grandfather who has been living alone until he is reunited with his two grandchildren. Their reunion takes a dangerous turn when a gang of heavily armed criminals from Jakarta storms their home, leaving the family with a simple choice: surrender or fight back.
The film stars Lukman Sardi (212 Warrior), Callista Arum (Project Sacrifice), Sulthan Hamonangan (Penjagal Iblis: Dosa Turunan), Derby Romero (The Night Comes for Us) and Donny Alamsyah (The Raid 2).
🔥 Footnote: Ever since Merantau, The Raid and its sequel came along, not to mention bangers like The Shadow Strays, The Night Comes for Us, Headshot and the recent Ghost in the Cell, Indonesian thrillers have been hard to ignore. The stunt work is often insane, and the fight choreography is brutal. That being said, Never Surrender is another one to add to your list.
Never Surrender hits Netflix on November 12, 2026. Watch the Newest Trailer below (via FCS):
