Christopher Borrelli, a filmmaker who is perhaps best known for visual effects on films such as Armageddon and Con Air – as well as writing credits on The Marine 2 and the recent Scott Eastwood/Mel Gibson thriller Dangerous – is prepping his directorial debut project, Run & Gun (aka The Ray).
The film features in ensemble cast that includes Ben Milliken (Bosch), Richard Kind (Argo), Brad William Henke (Split), Alison Thorton (Nancy Drew), Hudson Yang (Fresh Off the Boat), Mark Dacascos (The Driver, John Wick: Chapter 3), Janel Parrish (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise) and Celestino Cornielle (The Fate of the Furious).
Set in the ruins of the Salton Sea and follows Ray (Milliken), a former criminal evading a series of ruthless killers led by eccentric mob boss, Grayson (Kind). Ray finds refuge with a mysterious good Samaritan, but it soon becomes apparent, however, he has walked into the nest of someone even more dangerous than the killers pursuing him (via Deadline).
The film, produced by Branch Out Productions and Glass Horse Films, will see a Paramount release on Digital and On Demand on January 11, then on DVD January 25. Don’t miss its Trailer below:
I’m still trying to figure out at which point I stopped thinking “Oh, Mark Dacascos is in this, it’s going to be one to check out!”, and started thinking “Oh, Mark Dacascos is in this, avoid like the plague!”. Sad but true.
