Today’s Deal on Fire is the Blu-ray for Ronin Flix’ 2-Disc Jet Li Double Feature that includes two Yuen Woo Ping-choreographed martial arts classics: 1994’s Fist of Legend and 1993’s Tai Chi Master. Masters for both films have been cleaned, and stabilization issues in previous releases have been fixed. The films will be available in a double feature set, as well as standalone releases.
When Chen Zhen (Li) discovers that his martial arts teacher has been murdered, he swears to avenge his death! Fist of Legend is a modern day remake of Bruce Lee’s 1972 film, Fist of Fury. It also stars Chin Siu Ho (The Blonde Fury), Yasuaki Kurata (Eastern Condors) and Billy Chow (Tai Chi II).
Two friends (Jet Li and Chin Siu Ho), ex Shaolin monks, part ways as they brush with the ongoing rebellion against the government. The ambitious one rises up to be a powerful military commander, while his betrayed friend resorts to learn the calm ways of Tai Chi. Also known as Twin Dragons, Yuen Woo Ping’s Tai Chi Master also stars Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once, Magnificent Warriors).

Hope the FoL has the happy ending cut from the Dragon Dynasty version…
Quentin screened the happy ending version, too, so I’m not sure why it was cut.
Well, this sounds like a good release with the exception of that scumbag Brett Ratner ruining the proceedings. He’s had nothing to do with Jet Li or Woo Ping, so I don’t know why he thinks anybody is interested in his input about them. It seems strange that any label wants to include him after he was outed in the Me Too movement.
These look to be exactly the same as the Dragon Dynasty releases. Definitely would have got them if they were a different releases. Hoping we get some early Jet Li releases that haven’t received the Blu Ray treatment yet in the coming year
