On January 31, 2027, Treasured Films will release a Limited Edition Collector’s Blu-ray (Region ABC) for 1994’s Red to Kill. From purveyor of brutal crime thrillers Billy Tang (Dr. Lamb, Run and Kill), Red to Kill is a truly remarkable piece of Hong Kong extreme cinema that is considered by many to be one of, if not, the most disturbing Category III rated film of all time. Here, it’s fully uncensored and restored in 2K armed with new and archival bonus materials in this much-treasured special edition!
A social worker takes on the case of Ming-Ming, a mentally disabled young woman recently orphaned after her remaining parent is killed in a car accident. With the help of her social worker, Ming-Ming is admitted into a home for people with special needs, where the kind head of the home, Mr. Chan, takes a liking to the young lady. As Ming-Ming’s situation seems to brighten up, a serial rapist terrorizes the building where the shelter is located, his M.O… women in red. One night, he suddenly sets his sights on Ming-Ming, and a horrific ordeal ensues.
