Writer/director Yuichi Fukuda, who is perhaps best known for 2017’s Gintama, is back at helm for Under Ninja, an upcoming actioner that stars Kento Yamazaki (Alice in Borderland) and Minami Hamabe (Godzilla Minus One).

“Kill Bill Vol. I” American Theatrical Poster

This year, Lionsgate Films will finally release 2003’s Kill Bill: Volume 1 & 2004’s Kill Bill: Volume 2 on the rising 4K Ultra HD format.

There’s some speculation if the long-awaited Whole Bloody Affair (Tarantino’s edit of both Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 as one film, complete with new footage not seen in the U.S. release) will be part of the release roster, but according to HD Movie Source, we’re expecting the usual, separate theatrical cuts.

Directed by Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction), the Kill Bill saga revolves around a former assassin (Uma Thurman) who wreaks vengeance on a team of assassins (David Carradine, Darryl Hannah, Michael Madsen, Lucy Lui and Vivica Fox) who not only betrayed her, but also left her for dead.

Kung Fu Rascals | Blu-ray (Visual Vengeance)

Now available from Goodie Emporium is Visual Vengeance’s Limited Edition Blu-ray for the 1992 martial arts fantasy film, Kung Fu Rascals. This long out-of-print rarity marks the debut feature from cult director Steve Wang (Drive, The Guyver), who also stars.

Dogra Magra | Blu-ray (Radiance Films)

Now available is Radiance Films’ Blu-ray (Region A/B) for Dogra Magra, a 1988 thriller from Toshio Matsumoto (Funeral Parade of Roses).

A man wakes in an asylum with no memory. Dr Wakabayashi helps him to recall his past in which he killed his bride on their wedding day. Part of his memory becomes linked to another doctor, Dr Masaki, and a manuscript, Dogra Magra. As the two doctors treat him, reality and fantasy become blurred and the patient becomes unsure of his identity or his doctors’ experiments.

“High Forces” Theatrical Poster

In the tradition of hijack thrillers like The Delta Force (1986), Passenger 57 (1992), Executive Decision (1996) and United 93 (2006), comes High Forces (aka Crisis Route), an upcoming actioner from Oxide Pang (one half of The Eye and The Eye 2 writing/directing duo, the Pang Brothers).

Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau (Shock Wave 2, Walk on Fire) plays an international security expert who combats against hijackers on board the Airbus A380.
