Action starlette Adria Arjona (Hit Man, Andor) leads the charge in Onslaught, an upcoming action horror thriller from director Adam Wingard (The Guest) that hits theaters in September from A24.
When a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers breaks loose in the desert, a battle hardened Army sniper must unleash hell to protect her young daughter from the unstoppable threat.
The film – written by Simon Barrett (You’re Next, The Guest) and Adam Wingard – also stars Dan Stevens (Apostle), Rebecca Hall (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire), Drew Starkey (Queer), Michael Biehn (The Terminator), Reginald VelJohnson (Die Hard), Eric Wareheim (Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!) and former UFC champion Alex Pereira in his feature film debut.
🔥 Footnote: Many fans assumed Onslaught is a sequel to The Guest, reuniting director Adam Wingard, writer Simon Barrett, and actor Dan Stevens for another story involving government-created super soldiers. Wingard has confirmed it isn’t a direct sequel, but a spiritual successor set in the same town and shared universe. It also serves as a love letter to ’80s and ’90s action movies, featuring aforementioned stars from classics like Die Hard and The Terminator.
