Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer) sorta goes “Die Hard in a cockpit” in Amazon’s 7500. Okay, judging from the Trailer, he’s not as badass as John McClane, but then again, we haven’t seen the movie, so anything’s possible, right?

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Patrick Vollrath (Everything Will Be Okay), 7500 had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival on August 9, 2019 – and soon thereafter – streaming rights were secured by Amazon.

In 7500, Gordon-Levitt plays Tobias, a young American co-pilot on a flight from Berlin to Paris. Shortly after takeoff, terrorists armed with makeshift knives suddenly storm the cockpit, wounding both the pilot and Tobias, who swiftly contacts ground control to plan an emergency landing. But when the hijackers kill one passenger and threaten to murder more if he doesn’t let them back into the cockpit, this ordinary man faces an extraordinary test (via Collider).

7500 makes its debut on Amazon Prime Video on June 19. Don’t miss the its Trailer below:
