Steven Seagal was just a cook in Under Siege. Daisy Ridley is just a window cleaner in Cleaner. Now, Jean-Claude Van Damme is just a gardener in The Gardener (aka Le jardinier), a French action comedy from director from David Charhon, who worked with the “muscles from brussels” in 2021’s The Last Mercenary.

Every year, the Prime Minister keeps a secret list of his political enemies to be removed. Serge Shuster, a senior official close to the presidency, finds himself named on the list, meaning he will be assassinated within 48 hours by a team of elite government hitmen. Condemned to a certain death, Serge, his wife, and his children only have one hope left: their strange gardener, Léo.

The film also stars Michaël Youn (Divorce Club), Carl-Philipp Wengler (Blutspur Antwerpen), Matthias Quiviger (Medellin), Nawell Madani (Stuck Together) and Kaaris (Rogue City).

Blue Fox Entertainment is giving The Gardener a U.S. release in select theaters and on Digital and On-demand on June 6th. Don’t miss the Trailer below:
